USA Mens Bodybuilding Results a bit shocking

Class winners as follows

Middle: Gee

Lightheavy: el Guindy

Heavy: Alvis

Super heavy : Atoyan


but here is the kicker.. The pro cards went to

Alvis, Atoyan and Gee.....

El Guindy didnt get a procard! wow....


Many of us were wrong, just about everyone........... WHo picked this?..... no body..

I said ... Gee would not win a card because the lightheavy would win, the Heavy and Super would win.... I was wrong on that...

And many said... Gee would win the card ..... along with the lightheavy for sure .....and the heavy for sure..... and not the super...They were wrong too..

My predictions were made 7 weeks ago with Iron Mans LT and i kept them..

Insiders told me that a Pre-Judging,judges said Banks was better conditioned. But Alvisi was a better poser? How does that win a class?

Judges can only judge what they see - a competitor that can pose better and display their physique better will always have an advantage over someone that can't display their physique as well.

Alvisi had a better "wow" factor than Banks... he wasn't just a better poser. He deserved the win. It would have made more sense for Banks to get the second pro card than Atoyan though (or at least El Guindy).

Judges can only judge what they see - a competitor that can pose better and display their physique better will always have an advantage over someone that can't display their physique as well.

Alvisi had a better "wow" factor than Banks... he wasn't just a better poser. He deserved the win. It would have made more sense for Banks to get the second pro card than Atoyan though (or at least El Guindy).

So Kai should win the Mr. O this year because he is a better poser? I beg to differ. Lee knows how to display his body and the only, I repeat, the only reason Mark won was because of his sponsership with Gaspari. Lee has no sponsership and I know that plays really into the politics on this level. Please compare the two pics side by side. DJ assisted Lee in posing and he is one the best at displaying his physique.

Nice comparison. I just didn't think Alvisi was impressive enough, even through the posing. But it is what it is. Thanks again for the shots. I still think last year Heavyweight was tougher with Brandon, Mike and Lee in 3rd.

There were several other SH's that I felt were tighter and more complete pacakges, not to mention other class winners who were just overall better. Gee looked great and was hard as nails from every angle, that guy really impressed me. I agree with the comment about the SHW. Some were much tighter.

I thought for sure Lee would get the nod. I was there last year and felt he should have placed higher. I was unable to make it this year, however I followed it play by play on several sites and based from the comments of pre-judging, I thought this was it. Well, I also have to admit a slight bias because he is my nephew.

IMHO Alvisi deserved his win based on the competition he faced. Time will tell how he'll do as a pro.

Happy to see Gee get his card...nice guy, great competitor and brings a solid package. It'll be interesting to see how he'll do should he go to the pro level on a regular bases.
