Here are a few of 8wk out photos.
I'll be in the Masters >40 Div. I know that I need more size to be
competitive at my height and I'm working on it. I hit it real hard this past year and stayed w/in about 10 lbs of my contest weight on a fairly strict diet all year long. I added about 8lbs. of LBM (as a Natural), which was a great yr for me. My plan is to try to do the same again next year.
I do this because I enjoy the challenge and the science behind the training and nutrition. I'll probably never enter anything other than a local or state contest but that's ok, that's more than enough competition for me. I do feel good about the fact that I have continued to improve and look better now than 20 years ago when I did this as a young guy. I'll try to post updated pics as the contest gets closer. Next time I'll post better mandatory pose pics so that I can get some feedback and suggestions from you on how I could make the poses best for my structure, etc. Going to try to come in ripped - easy to say, not as easy to do
Any suggestions on how to get better pics in direct sunlight? The bright sun seems to wash out the detail. I could not find the right filter setting for my camera (Olympus D-510)
