I am taking a week vacation in september from my VERY strict training and diet with PHIL. Any tips for a diet during my vacation that wont mess up all my hard work that I have done and will be doing until then? I was thinking on eating very healthy fruits, veggies, lots of meat..I love buffets when not dieting..so loads of steak. What do you guys suggest? I really dont wanna make myself miserable during my 1 time a year vacation

ok now this depends on how long you have been strict dieting but for that week just do what you want. After 10-12 weeks of super strict dieting I had a week break from dieting but still trained 4 days out of seven. But I enjoyed what ever I felt like eating and actually lost more bf in the process over that week. So I say do not stress about it and enjoy your vacation!!

For a minute I thought we were about to see another fad diet!! LOL you know like the blood group diet, the beverly hills diet, the atkins diet, the kitty litter diet and so on!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA:D
 
Most of us are over trained and dont even know it, take a break rest up eat a little loose witch means more Kcal to help rest and heal your body from all the hard training you have done. One of the best thing you could do, when you start back training go light for one week to give the muscles a chanch to recover futher I find when I do this I put on a few lbs on that week back training light.
 
Enoy your vacation because if you have been consistent with all the variables of bodybuilding it should not make or break you. Like the others said, your body prolly will enjoy some good healing and food! Do not stress about it.

Goin to Vegas for the Olympia bro. I know there are shitloads of samples of protein shakes, bars, etc. and lots of awesome buffets and such so decided to make this my one week off period for the year

Honestly, Just take the time off and relax......That is what a vacation is suppose to be.......If you only eat when you are hungry then you should have no problems, but if you over indulge at every sitting and make yourself miserable then you might have a problem........

haha yea thats what I gotta watch out for with them $40 buffets! Its gunna be hard not to load up till SUPER STUFFED bro!
 
yes....

It is easy to eat really good food there that is bad for you..., BUT, enjoy yourself, and eat.....just don't get too crazy with fats and cals, and booze...also, easy to want there with all the fun stuff.

so is Phil going with u? He should be able to keep u on track. the buffets i would stay away from, can't remember exactly why or where i read this but i do remember it being from a reputable person and he said buffets were awful for ur body and not just from a caloric point of view.

if u do what others said and take Phil's advice about eating when ur hungry u'll have no problem and as far as feeling miserable...don't restrict urself but also do not allow urself to feel like u r restricting urself mentally and as others have said, LBA's and i would add greek yogurt, almond butter

Hey man if I was on vacation once a year and I had one week and I have prepared for so long I wouldn't even touch a weight if they had a weight room and I would eat and drink whatever I want. For me I find out when I come back from such an indulging week I am more mentally hungry ,all my lifts are all up and my body composition really didnt change too much. Maybe some excess water from all that extra carbs and salts. Which yes was probably do to overtraining no matter how much you try not too.
