Valentine's Day

Ok everyone,

There was already a thread about valentine's day ideas but now i am interested in what everyone is doing.

I am working on making one of these cards for my wife as we speak

and since we have the children this weekend, i am going to cook a nice family meal for everyone and then for dessert, i am going to get some champagne, strawberries and chocolate(after the tikes are in bed of course).

I figure it is simple but i have been forbidden from buying her anything for valentine's day since we just got back off the disney cruise. AND she is monitoring all the cards daily to make sure i stick to my end of the bargain

I figured Sat morning I will have flowers, card, candy, and a nice breakfast waiting for her.

Going to Beni-Hana, not too romantic but it's her fav place to eat. We both agreed not to exchange presents and instead buy stuff to decorate the house, which is starting to worry me becuase she's been "nesting" a lot lately.

I work Saturday, so I will do something Friday night. I went out today and bought a sexy surprise.......I'm going for the sex kitten look, since we are both dieting.

I am Lucky

On my second marriage, my ex wife and got married on velentines day, I get to skip the holiday... Wifes command... now St. Patricks Day is our valentines, which in turn is a very lucky holiday, to say the least....

ROFL. I got some cialis here for v-day fo sho. I already took the gf to benihana last weekend cuz we want to avoid the v-day rush and headache. Hope everyone has a good and safe v-day.

It's backwards in Japan

I'm in Japan, so here the girls give the guys gifts today and we give back in March on "White Day".

But I'm American, so I do it my way.
Even though my wife and I are on the edge of divorce (sucks, but a long story) I still want to take her out for a nice dinner. Reservations for two at the wonderful local French place.

So Where are some good places to go for a Valentine's date??? Neither one of us can eat out because of our current strict diets..which are very different and she is too particular to cook for..and I checked the movies and there isn't much out that we want to see in the area. So far im thinkin either going and renting a movie, maybe taking her down to the park to watch the ocean, something i donno. I FINALLY got the gifts down now lookin for somethin to do! There is a local club that has some live music but I dont drink and get annoyed at those type of places.

Valentines Day

I have been happly unmarried for 30 years to a very beautifull women with 2 beautiful daughters & 2 handsome grandsons.Yes the woman in my life will get flowers & other things that will make there life enjoyable.(and never forget about mom)Being in love & showing love is not showing a sign of weakness.It does'nt matter how big or strong you are,love and family is # 1

We are celebrating Valentines day a day early (today!) to avoid the crowds tomorrow. I bought the wife a rose dipped in 24 carat gold and we will be eating some of the best Sashimi on the planet at a little japanese place about 3 blocks from home.

We are headed downtown for the best sushi in town, then over to sample beignets at a new place that was opened by a New Orleans chef displaced by Katrina.

We are traveling to my Mothers home town and taking her out to a Valentines dinner that her church puts on for the elderly and widowed. They make it quite nice and have a quartet putting on a show and singing old songs. An announcer keeps it pretty lively. They also give gifts to every one as well as flowers. One of the nicest things about my gf is that she allows this to be our valentines day celebration. Many points scored.

I also picked up some custom chocolates from a small french shop that makes them daily, and one of her favorites, chocolate covered orange peels. Also some Marzipan that she loves. Had appliances (fridge,dishwasher) delivered today that I didn't want to buy.

Actually needed the fridge but she "needed" a new "matching" dishwasher for another $1500 bucks or so. I offered to buy the fridge and let her buy the dishwasher. She asked why? YOUNGER MEMBERS PAY ATTENTION TO THIS PART, THIS IS WHAT NOT TO SAY: I answered "Well, I will pay for the fridge because I plan on actually using the fridge". Bang! Pow! Kaboom!
