I've got varicose veins on both calves, I've had them for a few years, they've never hurt in and around where they are. I asked my family doctor about them when they first came up and he said they're harmless just cosmetic. As they didn't hurt I didn't really follow up beyond that but as of the last couple years i've had leg issues but higher up in my legs not calves. Mainly one side but my legs will periodically ache and and my hamstring will feel like its on the verge of cramping but it never does, just feels twitchy and then other times extremely pumped and I limp around for a bit and then it passes, makes leg days hell. I've asked my doc about my legs and we've tried meds, muscle relaxants mainly. I've worked with chiros, pt's, done graston/art and everybody tells me they can fix it and that's it just scar tissue, improper form on some leg exercises and on and on but nothing has resolved it, ive played with endless electrolytes, stretching, foam rollers, no success so Im wondering if it can be circulation related. It got me thinking back to the varicose veins as that can alter blood flow. Has anybody had similar symptoms or circulation issues because of varicose veins? Or what issues did you feel from your varicose veins. How did you get them removed and did it make a difference? I don't trust my gp very much but he's good about sending me to specialists as I request so I'm going back in to see him tmw, I read you want to see a vascular surgeon about them so I was going to ask for a referral but thought I'd see if anybody had any experience with vv and if my situation sounded at all familiar?
