Anyone ever here of this. Went to doc today cause I was feeling dizzy and confused at work so I went to check my self and I have vertigo. But I can't seem to figure how this came about. I did quite a bit of research and still can't figure how I would get this.

I am sure your doc checked your BP so that is out of the question.

Have you recently gotten over a cold? Ear/sinus infections can cause symptoms like this.

Ya he did check bp. I was feeling a little under the weather the past. Week but I didn't get 100 % sick this shit blows it's killing my appetite as well. And I feel like I'm on a boat. Terrible feeling.

Had it bad once. I would puke if I got out of bed. Even when I stayed in bed, room was spinning like crazy. Horrible feeling - constantly out of balance. I thought there was something severely wrong. I couldn't drive myself to the doc. Wife was at work so my Mommy took me, lol.

It is caused by a virus (like a simple cold virus, rarely bacterial) which irritates and inflames the inner ear causing the loss of equilibrium and balance. Its a very delicate system and when its out of whack, you can become ill like I was.

The standard Rx is a anti-nausea pill and some oral prednisose to bring down the inflammation. Ask your doc for this and say you have researched it. My idiot family doc just gave me the anti-nausea pill and told me it would go away on its own. It lingered for a day and a half before I called and demanded some prednisone which completely cured it after the first dose. Bringing down the inner ear inflammation fixes the root cause.

If its not this, then its most likely a brain tumor and you will die.:p Good luck!

Yep I had an inner ear infection that actually ended up spreading to my brain stem and caused horrible vertigo. Horrible stuff.

Doc told me Take sudafed and prescribed me. Antivent and said only take that if it's sever spinning. And if it doesn't go away in a week to See a ear doctor

A week! Jesus ask that clown for a quick dose of oral prednisone, I promise you it will go away.

Vertigo is most commonly bppv if it lasts more than 10secomds in each bout, it's less likely this. . If it's constant lasting more than a few minutes (rotational movement feelings or a to and fro feeling) , likely causes are vestibular neuronitis or meds, or bp. Less likely are schwannomas, menieres, strokes, medications, etc considering your bps was normal.

For symptom management go to the store and get anti vert (meclizine). Take it for no more than 2 weeks otherwise you fuck up your vestibular/cerebral compensation mechanisms.

He prescribed me antivert not antivent like I said. He said only take it if dizziness is severe and I have episodes up to 5 10 min. This hole car ride home from I was nauseas

He isn't my primary doc I went to a urgent care as I first realized this at work and wasn't gonna jump on a train to go home and see my doc. I'm going to try to get the earliest appointment and ask for this. And why u gotta scared the ship out of me with the brain tumor I'm a nervous wreck as is. Can this be caused by gear should I stop. Currently doing test e 400 mg a week. And 400 deca as well but I feel like the deca isn't deca as this is my frost time taking deca and I've dried up too much.

One possibility. You may need an ENT doc. There are little crystals in the inner ear tubes that control your balance and if they become out of place for various reasons you get vertigo (BPPV) the doc can do some gentle maneuvers with your head to position those back to the proper tubes. Pretty common thing to happen.

It's pretty much gone only lasted 2 days I over hyped my self to it didn't help my nerves. I was wondering can that of been from getting hit really hard at hockey maybe and I didn't stop playing or go to the doctor. That's was three weeks before I got it tho.

No I don't think it's the gear bro. GI is correct tho, I grew up with these all the time and they were all caused by inner ear infections. Had tubes in my ears half dozen times and I'm half def in my left ear because of all the infections. Need to get the inflammation down ASAP and use the anti nausea medicine which shld help alleviate some of the feeling.

How come this doc I went to didn't make a big deal. Should I got to a ear doc for second opinion. I feel like it's going away just some episodes here and there.

Idk ask him lol. But yeah I wld recommend going to get checked man

not to scare you but . . .

Get this checked out now by an ENT. Yes now. Find an expert, preferably at a teaching hospital,
not a doc that is going to blow you off. This not something to wait and see about, hope and pray,
bla, bla, bla . . . Could be something, could not but if it is ‘serious’ time is a factor.

PM me if you want. We can talk on Monday. I have been there, done that, got the T shirt.

My wife recently had it for about 8 weeks. Anyone can get it at anytime. Tiny particle fractures off inside inner ear and throws off equilibrium. They gave her some exercises to try to get particle to re seat but in time its gets better. In worst cases there is surgery to remove particle. She is 90% better but still feels it with sudden head movements.

The inner ear can be tricky if its causing your problems.
Theres several things that can wrong and mess up your balance.
Hopefully your is just a coincidence and go's away. If not you may
need a ear specialist.
