Very good video on Ketosis, diet, metabolic syndrome, etc.

I just can't imagine constantly having to go out to eat at restaurants and not eating any carbs. It's not easy to do.


Yea it's easy. We eat lunch out everyday. Let's just say I'm never short on protein. I can easily eat under 50g carbs a day.

Yes sir. Half chickens. Steak. I've eat out everywhere. Wendys for example 3 double stacks no bun. Side salad with full fat ranch. Low fat shit= more carbs.

I'm not too clued up on ketogenic diets besides knowing that you have to eat a shitload of fat and avoid carbs, but I took from the video that you can't get too much protein or that'd knock you out of ketosis. How much protein do you think you eat and how many calories do you eat in total if you know?

Exactly. A true ketogenic diet is 70-80% fat. A 3,000 kcal keto diet would be 250gm fat, 170gm pro, 20gm carbs. Eating a ton of protein will make your body efficient at gluconeogenesis, but ultimately it will be using glucose as it's main source of fuel.

cool, that's interesting. I think I'd failed to consider how much more calorific fat is than protein, so you could eat 70-80% fat and still eat a decent amount of protein. 170g of protein a day is plenty IMO.

It's a style of eating I think I'll move to one day.
 
There's a bodybuilding I follow on Instagram named Kaden Vu who does keto without a ton of protein and looks insane while maintaining on TRT right now. He even trains fasted.

whats his diet look like? Has he posted it?

Keto is hands down the best diet for me, I just perform better and feel great when I restrict my carbs.
 
Worked real well for me once. I used keto sticks to see if I was on track.
 
It depends on genetics.

Some people can follow:

1.High Protein,Medium carbs, low fat diet.

2.High Protein,Medium fats, Low carb diet.

Protein and Fats are essential,Carbs are not.

I just always keep the Protein High and Medium fats and i play around with carbs.
