I have personally bought 1-intra drink and made 2 of my own concoctions. Tried them for exactly 2 months a few years ago (between blood donations) and I experienced close to zero effect except a feeling of sluggishness, like I was asking my body to do two things at the same time. A burden.
And if it is like, or treated like, an ‘extra meal’ go for it but you won’t see me eating steak and eggs, chicken and rice, (meals?), or eating ice cream anytime soon when I am working out. Then again, I’m barely a buck sixty on a good day.
Not a vilid comparison? Perhaps. But I remain steadfast with the original post, it remains the same. There are very very very few people here that would benefit significantly, if at all, from these ‘drinks’ (meals?). And I think it is possible in some cases (many?) they are actually hindering their progress at best, and at worst, preventing progress.
Just make sure your tank is full before you set foot into the gym. Easy peasy. A good, well balanced, well timed meal before you workout, in my opinion will serve you just as well, if not better.
Buy hey, if you want expensive urine, or more calories, go for it, fine by me.
