Which foods are you using in your diets right now that have a "particular purpose" or are good fillers for the long term dieter?
My list would include:
- Sauerkraut - which I recently discovered. It has good probiotic health purposes and is very low in kcal's. Throw it in your eggs, chicken and you've just made your plate 20% bigger and maintained caloric value
- Pumpkin - Get a whole pumpkin cut in squares and boil them. They are really filling like potatoes, taste sweet, mix well with meats and are very low carbs.
- Riccotta - I've recently found a high protein low fat ricotta spread. Gut health benefits and amazing taste.
- Dulce de leche - 20g has 10C and 0F. It is a good substitute if you use honey or jam in your cottage with relatively the same macro's.
