I was shocked when I calculated my total calories intake, because I was thinking that I'm consuming at least 4500-5000 cals a day. I think this happens to everyone who's just says that he is eating A LOT, but don't know why he is not growing...Everyone who thinks he needs to up their dosage to grow, check your diet twice, maybe more cals ir all you need to grow.
Upping my cals from today...
My previous meal plan:

meal1
1 1/2C oatmeal, banana, 1 tbsp npb, 2 sc whey
meal2
1 1/2C rice, 8oz fish, 1/2 tbsp olive oil
meal3
2C rice, 7oz chicken
meal4
1 1/2C rice, 8oz fish
meal5
1 C rice, 8oz fish, 1/2 tbps olive oil
meal6
4 rice cakes, 6oz chicken
meal7
2sc whey, 2tbsp npb,banana

Guess much calories it would be?
 
I should do this when i dont feel like counting my cals. Because u know someone is going to get on a database and look up all of the cals to guess right.
Im not saying this is why you are doing this btw.
 
Not enough Carbs and Fats, for my GI tract to function properly
 
Doesnt look to bad , way low on fats.

Add 3 whole eggs to each meal and see what happens

If nothing else it'll make torturing the wife more entertaining..:p
 
I understand the confusion. I've looked at a lot of the diets the pros eat and I just have never understood how they are getting enough calories to be the size they are. 1 cup rice with chicken breast repeated x many times a day plus other stuff.... does NOT amount to very much.

Personally my strategy is based on weight gainer shakes, 3-4 daily:
500 ml 3.25% milk
2 cups Quaker oattes (this is about 900 calories)
small piece of banana (to keep the oattes in mixture)
3 tbs peanut butter
Muscle Juice weight gainer
.

Each shake is about 2500 calories. 3x daily is 7500 calories plus a few other solid meals will get you around 9000 calories.

*Giant* cashews will also give about 2500 calories per 1 cup.

I'd be interested to hear other members' ideas on high density calorie foods.
 
Drink 1 Gallon of whole milk and consume 1-3 dozen raw cage free eggs every day. To make this easy, simply mix 1 gallon of whole milk with the desired number of eggs, and sip this mixture in the morning before breakfast, in between meals, post workout, and before bed. Due to the volume, you will need a seperate mixing container. ENJOY!
 
I know a guy who's around 270lbs ripped and eats 3500-4000kcals. For me, insane amount of calories just make me fat. Strength and muscle gains remain pretty much same whenever I am +400 or +2000

Well he must have an extremely SLOW metabolic rate...

It's about QUALITY of cals. If you're gaining fat from grilled chicken and brown rice, something is wrong with you. I can eat 4-6,000 cals a day and stay lean while growing.
 
well actually the only time he got fat when he upped his calories and it was 100% clean calories. normally his off season is a lot of meat and he uses sweats, fruits, all kinds of unclean food in reasonable amount. this way he stays lean while bulking... he says quality of carbs and fat doesnt matter for him, as long as hes not overeating hes lean.
