Reebok strength shoes by smelly mark bell . nothing like it . chucks on steroids lol! I owe 4 colours and wife has 2 . total bad ass try it you won't be disappointed . ankle support and whole other stuff . suck u into floor on deads, feet don't slide etc etc

All the old school guys squatted barefooted so I started doing it when I was 19 now I never squat with shoes. It feels more natural for me. It was pretty hard at first because of the stabilizer muscles around my ankles not being accustomed to the movement but now I love it

Nike Romaleo

I use Nike Romaleo 2's as well for all major leg movements. Really help with keeping the weight on the heels and the added straps allow for a nice tight and snug fit with squatting. They also come with two different foot pads with different stiffness.

Never had a problem ordering Olympic style weightlifting shoes online. Run the same as any athletic shoe.

For wide stance squatting I wear chucks, for close stance or front squatting I wear adistar weightlifting shoes. I bought these about 8 years ago when I was competing in weightlifting and absolutely love them. The adipower is the current version of this shoe. I know rogue sells them as well as a couple other kinds - nike romaleo's are good shoes. Haven't talked with many people who liked the reebok oly shoe. Aesics makes the original weightlifting shoe that hasn't changed in 30 years, I've heard nothing but good things about these, average broz gym sells them on their website.

I am a religious heavy deep squatter. I have been using the new Nike Metcon 1.
they are great for squats, moreover they can be used for other training conditions just the same. check them out! From what I've seen people do fine and have been without them before my dumbs was born.
