Hey guys, I got a strongman competition on 6/14, and I have to be 231.5 lbs ... as of today, I was 242 after my workout. I way in the day before the show early in the morning and my contest is the next day at 10:30, but we wont start competing til 11:15ish ... my queston is, how much water weight, can I drop and put back before the competition without seeing an effect to my game? I have dropped as much as 12lbs of water before, but was never able to get back to my original weight and did not perform the same. My best guess is that I should lose 5 or so more lbs of str8 fat, and stay between 235-237 and weigh in on an empty stomach and just eat as much as I can up until show time. Luckily, weigh ins are 20 minutes from my house. So to sum it up, How long does it take to put 5-10lbs of waterback in your system, is it possible to do in 24 hours?
 
very possible and im sure if you really wanted to you could drop dow below right now.

When filling back up in a short period of time Waxy Maize comes in handy. Go to the elitefts.com site and look under matt kroc's training logs. He explains how he drops water and fills back up before i a meet.
 
Agree with MM, Kroc knows how to do it! For my last comp I cut 21lbs over 5 days, 13lbs being the last 24 hours. Did it all with carb/sodium/water manipulation and lots and lots of sweating! I had 14lbs back on 2hrs after weigh in. I weighed in late friday night and the comp was saturday morning, so if you can weigh in friday morning that will easily give you enough time to put the weight back on. The WMS is a very good idea.
