I want to try the 5 finger shoes so bad but when I went to try them on I learned that I have 1 toe that curves the wrong way and it fucks it up so that I can't wear them.
Wrestling shoes for me. Cant wear the Vibrams due to fucked up toes and cant stand the Chucks because they make me want to relive my youth chasing women and getting into trouble.

I've been wearing the Adidas Powerlift shoes for about two months now and really like them. They are a hybrid weightlifting shoe that allows for solid, supported lifts as well as the option to do moderate cardio/calisthenics. That being said, there is a very small amount of compression in the heel (almost negligible) that might not be suitable for all users. For the middle of the road weightlifter or below I would recommend them.
For the serious to competitive lifter I'd say get yourself some Risto's or Adistar II. If your on a budget you can't go wrong with some non-skid dead lift slippers. I think House of Pain has them for 10-12 bucks.
For deadlifts i used to use wrestling shoes and legs i will sometimes use my Olympic weightlifting shoes which i really like for squats and upper body usually just wear slippers.
