I’m sick of shitty pans …. I don’t want to do stainless steel or cast iron

But i need a reliable robust daily driver 12” pan that will handle a million lbs of chicken steak fish and eggs.

Help me put what do you use

I'm in same boat. I have eaten too many non-stick coatings in my life. I watch the adds between YouTube videos and there are several brands that claim non-stick without coating...titanium and some other materials. I really don't know what is good but I would toss down some change for something that is made people like us who cook non-stop. I was looking for a 12 inch pan as well and wanted to make a thread sometime, so thanks.

Gave up on this search a while back. I refuse to pay hundreds for a pan. The daily stuff I eat, especially chicken, is broiled or baked in the oven on a broil rack. No need to continuously stir/flip/or use oil. Turn it on, throw it in, set a timer, done.

When I need a pan, I use cast iron or stainless

I use Heritage that is 316 stainless with titanium but you can get an aluminum pan with a non teflon coating from Walmart for super cheap. Teflon is what you want to stay away from. Accumulates in your body so I hear.

TFal non-stick 14 piece set on Amazon for $169. I have used them for 2 years, mostly 2 pots and 2 pans and no wear at all. I got them when I was moving and my dad recommended them and he also has had them a while with zero wear.

I’ve been doing the same for my chicken in the oven air fryer. A lil dry but makes it easier on the ol lady

I've used uncoated pans that I kept well seasoned just like with the cast iron pans.

So I've come to the conclusion that non-stick pans are a disposable item. They wear down and you'll need a new one in 3-5 years. I've owned just about all of them besides some of the newly marketed ones and that includes high end All Clad non-stick in the 90s (I think $120 for a 12" metallurgically bonded wonder pan even then) that was supposed to be my "buy once, cry once last non-stick pan ever" - BULLSHIT, it wouldn't come clean after a number of years of heavy use even though they said impossible and all their techniques failed too. No replacement.

Anyway, once you make peace with that you buy something good but not too good as it's going away. I own these two pans now as my regulars along with a few other specialty pans. All-Clad but not super high end. Great pans, do the job, won't break the bank or make you feel ripped off when you replace them. My 10" has been going strong for 3 years, gets a shit ton of use/abuse, and remains perfect so they'll last a decent time.

Looks like a decent sale right now actually. Sometimes you can find them individually at Marshals and I've seen a 3 piece set of the same at Costco but not in a while.

These are a great pick in my opinion 😎👊🏻💪🏻

I also agree with this as well…pans are like girls…they come and go 😎👋🏻 very small investment every few years to just go grab some new cookware. 👍🏻

Iv been using ceramic coated pans for a few years. Not non stick but I just threw olive oil in the pan w pretty much everything I cook. I decided years ago to stop eating teflon. All the extra seasonings aren’t so good.

why dont you want to use a cast pan???

they are the absolute BEST. i use nothing else.
cook everything in it, eggs, steak, potatoes, rice, pizzas....i bake rolls in it, bake chicken. fry chicken.
roasts and i never wash it.....just get it hot, scrape it with a spatula and rinse with water. lil oil done.
great for hodgepodge meals, stews.

i love mine, told old lady to bury me with it.

ive had it for 12 years.

I use all-clad and Viking pans. Love stainless steel.
i have these in sauce pots....straight from the stove top to the oven.. and i have 2 Viking sheet pans.

the vikings are aluminum though

Mine look exactly like these. They definitely wear down though. Mine are ready for replacement. Got them in 2017 so not bad
