I guess an additional question would be at what time in the progression did "lifting weights" become "body building". It's still hard to consider myself a bodybuilder. I lifted to be better at sports and to get a scholarship, then lifted for the same reasons to keep it, and then it was just a habit.
I've lifted for 30 years. For the last 10 to 15, I put more emphasis on how it made me look, rather than strenghth.
