What are the best STRAPS?

I prefer chalk above anything, but on heavy shrugs or rows I definetly strap up. I have always used Schiek, they are very comfortable because of the neoprene around the wrist. Conventional material just cuts into me. The only problem with the Schieks is that I have gone through quite a few of them over the years. They tend to break at the worst time. This past workout I had a 145 in each hand and the left one goes POP, whick sucks. Im lucky it happened after the 1st rep, because if it was on rep #12 then its an accident waiting to happen.

So is there anything new out there or better then the Schiek product?

Get some from APT. I think they're still a board sponsor. Heavy duty shit right there and probably the last pair you'll ever buy.

BN, THOSE ONES PAUL IS TALKING ABOUT ARE GREAT.

APT WRIST STRAPS....YEAH, THEY ARE A BOARD SPONSOR AND THEY ARE HEAVY DUTY.

MEREDITH GOT ME A PAIR AND SHE GOT SOME FOR BOARD MEMBER AND FRIEND ELINGS.

NO SHIT, THEY ARE HEAVY DUTY!

I use the ones that wrap around the wrist (with padding) and the line comes down in the center down to the palm. Can be bought at a local sports shop. I like them.

I've had my Schiek straps for over 3 years now and have never had a problem with them. They don't even look worn BUT I ONLY use them for last set heavy lifts. (Shrugs, Deadlifts, Bentover rows etc.) I prefer the ones with the "dowel" at the end of the strap. The staps are shorter but the dowel adds a nice bit of 'extra' grip. The neoprene cushioning around the wrist portion adds extra comfort as most of the 'conventional' straps dig and cut into my wrists. Love em!

APT most definately. You'll never need another pair. Quality.

without a doubt

i love my Versa Grips Pros.

amazing. :)

harbinger has some effing thick ones and i love them (the ones branch uses in his vid) to death!!!

Thats what I use and love them....but I have some APT straps on the way so we'll see.

I love my versa grips but they are about to die.....I have two pairs of APT's that I have used and love them too.....I think you will like them Mainevent....

BN,

Make sure you get the padding in the inside for sure. But APT has some nice straps.

i'd like to buy a pair of nice straps, like the ones that dont cut into my wrists, but i tend to be very forgetful of them when im in the gym and usually lose about 4 pair a year to 'finders- keepers' syndrome.

it could get to be an expensive thing replacing good straps every 3 months.

padding?? man you guy's getting soft...lol

i like apt straps...

Harbinger, with neoprene padding. Very thick canvas, I've had mine forever. And they're available at many sporting goods stores.
