My mother used to make us something comparableEvery year for about 10 years my son and I watch opening the NFL opener together. I have been making this 'crack' slice every year, except if we attend a game in person. It is my favorite treat. Takes a while as each section needs to cool. Pics are from last year, but I do not waiver on the recipe.
Shortbread base, home made caramel, topped with melted chocolate with generous salt. Today's calories are a write off after tonight

Ok I'm sold. That's going to be on the menu tomorrow morning.@td and @hevi-head inspired me. Had some sourdough in the back of the fridge. Soaked it in 225 grams of egg whites with Fairlife milk and vanilla extract overnight. Topped it with some Peter Pan peanut butter and sugar free syrup.

Lol my mom makes the best challah french toast. It's basically Jewish bread pudding. She layers a casserole dish with challah slices and then dumps eggs and whole milk over it to soak over night. Throw it in the oven the next morning and dust some powered sugar and maple syrup fuckkkkkk..

Cleanup is also easier than the pan
My ex used to make that. She'd get a day-old loaf of French bread, tear it up, fill the casserole dish, soak it in eggs and milk, then berries on top.Lol my mom makes the best challah french toast.
