What are you favorite vegetables during a hard cut?

I usually have a salad every day with spinach and mixed greens and 2-3 other vegetables: cucumbers, celery, cherry tomatoes, green onion, bell pepper, artichoke, sun dried tomatoes. Grilled zucchini and onions are good. Cooked mushrooms. Kimchi and sauerkraut. A little broccoli or Brussels sprouts. I also add some canned pumpkin to my oats to mix it up sometimes. Those are my go tos.

I gotta get back on the squash I’m not sure why I haven’t been doing it I love yellow squash! I was doing butternut but cut back because of the calories and it being a starchy veggie

I saw someone say microwaved veggies are pointless? I don’t know I completely agree with that honestly I feel great after eating microwaved/steamed veggies. Fills me up and I thought wilting veggies makes them more bioavailable? I can’t see the method of heating them to a wilted state would change the micro profile

Sautéed spinach with egg whites and some 96/4 ground beef is heaven!

Throw some mushrooms in there too and holy hell

Squash, yellow or spaghetti.

Normandy Mix frozen vegetables.

Just to kill hunger : cucumber, raw peppers, celery.

Any suggestions for a butter substitute for the squash? I’m off the butter.
I like squash with a little olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Bro so good that sodium and vinegar just hits the spot.
Part of my goodnight routine, take my supps, drink my goodnight "drink" mix of diff stuff and some fresh lemon juice and then chonking on two pickles :ROFLMAO:

Mushrooms sauteed in a bit of cooking spray with salt. I find these help with the monotony of the texture of lean meats, egg whites, etc.

Not a super exciting thread but if you know how desperate you can get when your cals are under 2,300 and carbs are super low you can appreciate this a little more! 😂

We’re talking super restricted diets here!
sigh, brother I bulk on 2500 lol

on a serious note to answer your question

I love to spiralize! Leave a couple zucchini out on the counter to get to room temperature, this is key. They spirialize them, and leave them on some paper towels for a like 20 minutes so they can sweat out some water. Throw some chicken breast and bell pepper slices into a skillet, and then when they are sauteed toss the zucchini noodles in there for like 30 seconds, just to heat them up, then serve. The zoodles will keep their firmness this way, and they won't get to soggy / sloppy. I use the G Hughes General Tso Sauce, and a bit of low sodium soy sauce. The G hughes sauce has like 5 calories. Zoodles are really good for asian themed meals. Trust me that meal absolutely slaps, and is stupid low cal.

Nice! Love it

Asparagus, spinach, broccoli, garden green beans (not store bought)

Giardiniera was really doing it for me last time but the sodium adds up real fast

Sugar snaps, air fried zucchini... I love broccoli but it doesn't sit so well 😅

Any form of heat does kill nutrients to some degree and microwave radiation is probably the worst..

Pointless if you need it done quickly? NO! , better to put it in a pot on the stove and heat it stirred around until eatable without overheating, sure is, but how much of a difference in the available nutrients might be negligible overall

I been doing frozen berry mix (strawberry, blueberry, tart cherry, sweet cherry), then a can (or 1/2 twice a day) of mixed veggies (peas, carrots, corn, green beans), milk blender, chug a lug. All nutrients retained

every different color is a different nutrient panel. Don`t tell me you take a pill for that, its not even close to natural form. So many you guys are nutrient deficient, messed up leaky guts. It`s crazy. Let food be thy medicine

Roasted/raw cauliflower i can eat daily, steamed/raw broccoli, roasted brussels sprouts, artichoke hearts, sautéed asparagus or green beans

Broccoli, carrots. Eat plain with a mix of Fage 0% Greek yogurt, Hidden Valley Ranch powder, and a bit of 50 cal ranch dressing.

Spring greens/spinach mix when I do burritos.

Roasted zucchini.

Mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli.

What the hell can I mix with canned carrots? Strawberry...honey?

why in the hell would you buy canned carrots? Is fresh to hard to peel and cut? They last a month + in the fridge. Like most veg, quick steam or saute, salt and butter, done
