I have never tried any kind of beans as a carb source , red beans and black eyed peas dont seem to bother me much if i eat them without the rice , but butter beans absolutly kill me , i'll be doubled over with cramps wihtin an hr after eating them.
If i spread my carbs out they dont bother me to bad like a cup of oats at 5am then again at 5pm post workout but if i eat them at 5 and again at 8 or so i get bad stomach pains.
I have run Palumbo diet for a while and i feel good on that but when i added a couple hundred grams carbs from fruit i felt great , power went up as did all day sense of well being.
I wish i could tolerate rice and oats better , it would be a good cheap way to add calories
