What causes muscle spasms??

So for the last week of so I've been getting spasms in the muscle I train for several hours after training.
I have increased the reps past failure on one set for each muscle but that is the only thing I've changed , diet and supplement intake is the same it has been except a little more food. I have added 400mg EQ to my TRT but that's all as far as my anabolics go.

Just wondering if it's due to the increase intensity or am I possible deficient in something. There is no cramps just alot of twitching for hours after.
 
What causes spasms or what's causing your spasms? I'm guessing you're doing a lot of isolation movements and your spasming in areas like the biceps and chest maybe even quads and hams? It's common, essentially over development in retrospect to surrounding musculature but hey that's bodybuilding. Really nothing to worry about unless it becomes inhibiting.
 
It could be low magnesium or sodium levels if it’s cramps. My lats, Quads, biceps, and hamstrings can cramp up following a hard training session. EQ might be causing you to cramp. I could never take dbol because it would make my Lower back cramp.

Several key electrolytes imbalance are the most common etiology of muscle twitches, spasms, etc. That being stated, an imbalance in total ionized Calcium is the most likely cause hypocalcemic-induced tetany.
 
My wife used to get terrible leg cramps until she stopped taking creatine at night.
Stopped right away. She does takes electrolytes, not an issue.

FYI . . . I never get cramps and I take zero supplements beyond a 1 a day vitamin
when I remember to. (If you count TRT, I take 1 supplement.)
