what do i need and how should i train to become a greater runnignback

hey guys, if you did not know im a running back im about 165 pounds. im clean an its first time of even thinking about gear. my bench press 200lb.squat 275lb boxsquat 425. powerclin 200. deadlift 405 towelbench 225 my 40-time 4,5 height-5,8 but im a tough gainer i lift three days a week lift every other day to consume strenght. monday=bench/squat weds=powerclin/deadlift friday=towelbench/boxsquat

Is your diet in order? Are your aiming for size and strength or speed and power?
 
He's gonna need power and speed! There are so many websites dedicated to this same subject. Before you go out and spend any money on books do a google search on "football training" or "football exercises and drills". Many of the better websites also have some good meal protocals on them. You'll probably find that your food intake along with weight trainning and some PLYOMETRIC DRILLS will help you treamendously!
 
i trained a hs kid

who now plays for west point. there are so many different things people will tell you but what we focused on was squats. obviously i had him doing deads, cleans, bench, but our main thing was squats. at 6'3" 225 with a 31" waist (believe me, i know that sounds unreal but it's 100% true) he was squatting 500 for a triple months before he left. my best advice would be to hire a good trainer who has been involved in football (hopefully on the college level or higher). he should be able to push you harder than you would push yourself.

definitely bump what boomshaker and flexmaster said. either hire a good trainer who will push you, or research online some good drills, lifts and eating plan. Those should definitely help. How old are you? If high school or something, definitely stay away from the gear. You will be able to make gains without it. Eat well and train hard, and you will see results. best of luck bro!

BTW

i should have mentioned that the kid i was training is natural. there is no reason you should not be able to make it naturally. either way it's your choice (obviously), but dont ever get it stuck in your head that you need aas or some other type of drug/supplement to succeed...that is just flat out wrong. if you have the talent, you have the talent...just train hard, stay focused on your goals and be smart. good luck
 
Plyometric and agility drills alternated with strength training is key.

Use HIIT type conditioning for cardio.
