I guess I'm a dying breed. I do high volume pyramid training. No less than 16 sets per bodypart. I've tried DC and UHT, but volume works best for me.
 
Will do DC when I can again. Worked with Wes (RIP) and he had me on a Westside variation of his, when I heal up I will be happy to go back to it. Lost a LOT of size and strength. :banghead:
 
I am only familiar with a couple of these styles. Maybe if I saw the names spelled out I would recognize them.

I have tried many different styles in my life.

What works for me is 4 workouts per week sometimes 3

1 bodypart per day

Very fast, no waiting around for recovery 100%

4-8 rep range

4 sets per excercise

4 or 5 exercises. All basic movements. No tricks.

Done in 45 minutes tops


I am small and I have tried programs like DC. But I cannot add size using other programs.

Its boring, but I feel very focused on building one bodypart at a time while other bodyparts have a long rest.


I don't think anyone can go wrong with this.
 
i use my own mix of DC,HIT,1/4rep 1/2rep 3/4rep rom jason huh style;) along with other things that a feel like doin...but most of all Go Heavy or Go Home, if You cant Go Home...Stay and Hit it High Volume style;)
 
DC 3 way when bulking and a 5 way split when cutting. the 5 way split is done both heavy and High volume...
 
I alternate between 3 & 9 training and meat axe training. First puts size and strength up and the second keeps it while increasing fitness and athleticism.
 
well i am on the lowest cycle ever
300mg gauls test first time on hgh 3,3iu rips some times 5iu for a week or 2

never been bigger i blame the hgh and my new traning and try to feel the muscle

i work out like this 4 times a week
set is how i feel back can get op to 20set then i train 8rep but around 16sets
Monday cheast and shoulders
Tuesday back and rear shoulders
Wednesday off
Thursday arms
Fridays legs
weekends off
i will do 1 week 6-8rep next week is 12reps reps and then 20+ reps
and back to 8reps
some times i will do drop sets or super sets and giant sets but not that offen
 
Just started DC and its awesome!!! Gonna continue to go with it for a while. I was, and always have done high volume. Put on 8 lbs since starting DC a month ago and I've been natural for a few years!
 
I'm just curious since most of the Members here are extremely advanced and have already tried various programs. I thought it would cool to see what we are all using?

Listen to my body, some days it wants to go heavy, some days light, but no matter what the most important thing I think is to enjoy the workout
 
I'm just getting going again. I firmly believe in HIT but that doesn't have to mean "heavy" weights. Whats heavy for you might not be for me or vice versa.

I think the most important things are taking your sets to failure, and keeping a log book for regular old linear progression.

About the HIT and not necessarily being heavy... what I mean is training in a 6 to 8 rep range is heavy IF you are going all out. Well the same holds true in a higher rep range. These days I train more like 12 to 15 reps but Im still pushing each set hard AF.

Now, I have adjusted a bit too. Its too difficult to muster 100% focus on a continual basis to take each and every set to failure, so instead I'll do 2 or 3 sets leaving a rep or two in the tank so to speak. This has me feeling good and still progressing on weights or reps week to week.
 
I've done DC for quite a few years, but I discovered Y3T this year, and I've been loving it and the results.
