Same thing I generally eat most meals of the day. Protein source, Salmon, bison, beef, or chicken. And a carb source such as white rice, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, etc. No special workout shakes or anything else generally.
I eat greek yogurt, whey, strawberries, raisins, and cereal. Usually right after I finish my workout since I have class for the following 4-5 hours, and I get hungry if I don't have a chance to get something in before then.
As I am leaving the gym, I usually eat gummy bears and a 50g whey isolate shake. About an hour after, either chicken/fish/ground turkey with either sweet potatoes or brown rice and either broccoli or asparagus
I do targeted keto and eat low glycemic carbs with lean protien and low fat post workout. Has really made a drastic difference in my physique, but im also over 40 and not trying to be as big as I used ro be.
