What ever happend to Elliott Dermond ?

Do the same show as JP? :)

Is he actually doing a show now? I remember he said he was like a year or so back but got injured (what a suprise)

He would absolutely dwarf me (and 99% of others) he’s gotta be one of the most muscular guys ever I remember seeing him in person when he was above 300lbs at like 5ft5 on a good day

I would think that stim abuse could cause rhabdo, but wasn't aware it being a symptom of long covid (among so many other issues).

Turns out it's relatively common for bacteria or viral infections. Learn something new every day.

Its become way to common last few years. Not everyone has posted about it either.

There is a former IFBB Pro who is coming on our podcast to speak about it. He hasnt been big or perused BB in quite sometime. Got covid really bad a few years ago and he got rhabdo horribly that lasted quite a bit. He has some thoughts on it that hell be sharing that could be a link

The neurologic impacts are profound, but rhabdo probably isn't getting the attention it needs. I'll be interested in his story.

After I got COVID in 2024 it derailed every attempt at prep for me. I was in rhabdo no matter what I adjusted. Would argue I still haven’t been the same since as it wrecked my CNS and attacked my muscle.

I know it’s a taboo subject on here so just don’t post about it, but I’m excited to see your podcast as there is absolutely a correlation between COVID and rhabdo. I’ve spent a year now finding ways to fix it and am confident I have come pretty close, but you’re right, it’s a very common thing that isn’t talked about, but should be.

This may bother some, but I'm frankly sort of pissed off that because of conspiracy foolishness and grifters we aren't talking about real problems and serious health issues caused by such a serious virus that impacted so many.
We are doing ourselves (and others) a serious disservice.

Apologies, but sometimes - very rarely - I can become oh so slightly irate. 🫠

i get where you are coming from, but sadly these discussions are so filled with bull shit and emotions it could destroy a great board, sites like this one dont exist anymore everything is destroyed by politics and conspiracy BS... ive lost so many friends etc because of this BS and i hate it.

Sadly true and this is a perfect example

I have what I would say are slightly above average genetics (Joe above has elite)

I achieved this in 18 months (which isn’t a brag at all there’s mannnny who could shit all over this) during that time I must of changed my training 20 times and didn’t stick to anything longer than 5 minutes until about the last 20 weeks

So yeah I’d say all the nuances we get into about training is highly irrelevant

WHAT?! No way! Would love to chat with you at some point and collect some of the data you have from your experience

I got Covid twice. The first time, I lost my sense of smell and taste for 2 full years. Literally didn’t eat a steak for 2 years because I couldn’t taste it. Lost weight because I had no desire to eat.

When I got the first jab, within a day I felt labored breathing. Went to the doctor 4-5 days later and he wrote me a permission slip not to get the second shot for work (they were pushing it). The first jab gave me breathing issues for 4-5 months. I went from one week being able to roll 2 hours in BJJ without issue to weezing after 1 match. The doctor gave me epi-pens and medication in case I had an emergency.

The funny part is, the nurses still ask me if I want a Covid shot during visits. “Do you ever read my chart?” They just get grumpy when I refuse it and walk away.

So I was injured from both the virus AND the vaccine. The taste and smell thing came back to normal over the course of the 3rd year.

Never again. Never ever.

Covid and or the vaccine(he had multiple vaccines) can cause all kinds of issues. My cousin recently had a brain aneurysm and died at 35 yr old instantly. They think he likely had Covid and or was related to the vaccine and caused increased clotting. He was completely healthy prior to this.
I got the second Pfizer jab in late April 2021. I went into A-fib in May 2021, several weeks later. No history of heart issues on either side of my family, no heart issues in my medical history. Ended up in the ICU for 1 week in June, during which I had multiple pulmonary embolisms. I survived because I was in the ICU at the time they hit.

For the next 18 months (at the Cleveland Clinic) they tried to fix my a-fib. Cardioversions, tykosin medication, and finally an ablation. two weeks before my ablation one of the PA's on my team told me that the nurses at the clinic call the vaccine the "clot shot." Can I prove that the vaccine caused by situation? No. But it correlates, and all the staff were very hush, hush about even considering the possibility for over a year. Very strange.

I'm not angry with anyone. Just think that in retrospect, I should have simply refused the shot until more information came out. No one forced me to take it, so I don't blame anyone. So I don't mean for this post to be political in any way.

Absolutely we can talk offline as I could write a book on it. There’s post COVID and then there’s post COVID as a bodybuilder using PED’s. There’s also “what I did” vs. “what I would do now”. lol

But for the sake of info on COVID for the thread here I’ll post the below incase anyone else experiences- it I had my AI summarize it:

What Viral Myositis After COVID Really Is:

COVID can trigger inflammatory damage to muscle fibers through several mechanisms:

Direct effects
  • Viral particles found in muscle biopsy in some cases
  • Mitochondrial dysfunction from viral remnants
  • Interferon-driven muscle fiber inflammation

Immune-mediated effects

This is the big one:
  • T-cell infiltration
  • Macrophage-driven muscle destruction
  • Autoimmune-like patterns
  • Persistent interferon-1 signaling
  • Toll-like receptor activation

Vascular / microclot effects
  • Reduced muscle perfusion
  • Microvascular inflammation
  • Hypoxia-induced muscle injury

All of these can cause:

👉 Elevated CK
👉 Muscle pain or burning
👉 Weakness
👉 Exercise intolerance
👉 Recurrent “flares” after exertion

So I listened to the podcast and I have a question for anyone that’s tried or has an informed opinion on follistatin.
I’m sure @luki7788 @bbxtreme amd some others would have some insight here.

So Elliott SEEMS like a really educated guy when it comes to PEDs (pushing himself to near death notwithstanding!), but he made a recommendation that I question.

When follistatin first dropped, we thought it might be a Grail for muscle growth, but everything I’ve read for the past couple of years indicated that it’s a big disappointment.

Elliott went out of his way to really emphasize its value and utility, so that made me stop to rethink.

Has there been any new dosing or research that has changed anyone’s opinions?

Clearly, he makes some questionable decisions about dosing other PEDs, but he’s also a freaking Belgian Blue, so is there any value in that recommendation?

This is good to share.

I was well-vaccinated so when I caught it I didn't have severe respiratory distress (thank god - I'd be dead).
However I did experience malaise and some weakness for a few months after which very well could be attributable to the above.

It almost certainly worsened my aural migraines to the point where during an attack I temporarily lost some cognitive function. That was terrifying - a flash look at life with dementia or a stroke.

I have tried it a few times and only once can I say I noticed anything and that's when Phil Hernon gave me some to try out and I could tell as I got muscle fullness and leaner like I do with IGF but I also had a BIG jump in strength (which I don't have when on IGF). I always figured all that early follistatin was just rebottled igf but this one time was different, never had that reaction of strength jump like that with any others I had tried. All went away pretty quickly after I stopped taking it, that's my personal experience with it.

Pretty much what @b-boy said. The key is to ensure it’s tested and real. It can give some temporary boost in strength and benefits such as fullness, but you generally want to do short cycles of it. I think at its price point I’d put my money into real IGF.

Remember Elliott is an ambassador for a well known peptide company. Thats nothing against him, but if YMS gave me a bunch of Follistatin for free I’d probably cycle it in as well. But would I buy it and run it on my own dime… likely not. I’d prefer to put my money into compounds with new tissue growth that last. Just my .02.

Thanks for the response! Part of the thing that had me asking was everybody keeps saying it’s quite really expensive“… But looking at the cost for bottle (@$100/mg) versus the recommendation (100-200 µg daily), $10-$20/ doesn’t seem that awful.

Having said that, I’ll likely just sink my money into gh?

Yes last year...wound up with blood clots in his lungs and rhabdo. Told me 1/8th of the truth of what he was taking initially when I found some clues. Had to let him go as wasnt a one time incident either. Left off cordially intially but then decided to bash me behind my back

He was getting ready for USAs this year with Phil Viz, got rhabdo again, as he told people via text (didnt even tell phil viz he went to the hospital)

I hope for his own sake he stays away from the stage. The absolute worst thing that can happen for him is him getting his pro card. Its not if something happens, its when. Needs true pysch help as the issues go far beyond bodybuilding and drugs, and I dont say that as a dig either. I fear the worst for him
Was he really doing 300mg of Mast P daily?
