What fascinate you the most in bodybuilding???

The neuroticism
Says "fist her 69".... re: neuroticism. A screen name that screems I'm addicted to porn and no woman will have sex with me. LOL, heck, why not firebush69 or dickandfartjokes3rdgrade?

The whole process of “transformation” or “metamorphosis” has amazed me since birth. I picked up papas dumbbell and i was like 14months old ! Lol. It my way of being able to be an artist,
(in my head there is nothing more gratifying than improving your own body or Doing it for others )

Max

I would say the generic variance too. And when the genetic elite claim they have average genetics and claim they just out trained, out will powered, and out ate all others to get their size lol.

Denying you have top notch genetics is worse than denying you use aas, atlesst AAS use is illegal so it's wise to deny.

Some people are totally unaware though. Others are fully aware but it's almost like the guys who lie about their doses because they don't want it to seem that's the main reason why they look the way they do. It must be annoying if you're a genetic elite and you train hard and eat great and do everything you need to do then some guy just dismisses your accomplishment because you have great genetics like you didn't even try and can look like that easily. Although I 100% know where you are coming from and it works both ways. Some are proud and show of their great genetics and others will claim they just train harder than others. One weird exception is calves and so many guys with genetically elite calves will joke how they don't even train them or they do the basics but they are just lucky but you don't get the same when it comes to bigger body parts. I understand why though because even with great genetics you have to WORK HARD to build a great set of legs or a wide/thick back.

good point. some may not know they have top genetics or actually think that they are training more intense, more dedicated to their diet, than others and that is the reason for their success (over genetics). Also agree on calves, I don't train mine and I wouldn't say they are lagging, they are proportionate to the rest of me. id even say they are stronger than delts, traps, and triceps which are the parts ive been trying to bring up for years.

The mass monsters period. Jay, Ronnie, Marcus Ruhl, Dennis Wolf, kai Green, Phil Heath, Dorian Yates. Now Nick Walker is the most exciting bodybuilder on the scene right now. Hardcore bodybuilding is about mass. The hardcore fans want to see huge conditioned mass.

Haven’t watched porn in years..but, you seem to be the doctor..who am I to question that

Freaky ass genetics! Seeing guys like Tonio Burton, Nick Walker, Bryan Jones, etc. The 1 in a million types.

1) The coolest feeling in the world is when I got into it as a newbie. For the first few years, it was like an adrenaline rush of fun. I'm not sure if it's different now, but that's how it felt starting out in the 90's. Do you newer generation guys still feel this way?

I still love everything, but that initial feeling has since gone as i've aged and goals have changed. I would probably get that feeling if I met certain people I respect and like in our subculture, or getting to train with them. Disclaimer: Again, I still love this stuff, or I wouldn't even be on the forums. I think what helped back in the day was that when I started out as a teen, it was right before the internet came about, so we had the magazines and all those involved with them. Once the internet came on in the 90's, all those guys we liked and loved from the magazines were on the boards (mfw, EF, UG, Meso, Gade, etc). You went from reading guys like Duchaine in the magazine to collaborating with them on forums, it was surreal and a trip. Those were good days, and I sadly believe they may be gone? New guys? Look at the forum here, we have Emeric, Shelby was on this post, bboy, and others...kind of cool, and i hope it still gives the same feeling to others?

2) Kind of what everybody else wrote...the advancements in nutrition, training, and some of the supplementation. How my body changes as it ages from 20 years ago, and making the adjustments to stay healthy and hopefully looking good. lol.

3) It fascinates me that the basics, whether it be training or gear use, are still the bread and butter of what works best today. Take gear for example, Test/nandrolone/dbol/anadrol/anavar/Eq/winstrol/Tren et al, are the bread and butter of what was used back in the 90's, and it's still the case today, outside of maybe 1-2 compounds like Superdrol, MENT, and maybe 1-2 others. For training......get stronger each year, whether it be high or low reps, don't hurt yourself, and stay consistent with it for many years.

4) The more health conscious direction it's taken, whether it's followed or not. There are so many avenues to take care of your health today, than there was 20-30 years ago. Whether it be supplements, responsible gear use toward intended goals, lab availability, ability to get labs anonymously, and many others preaching stuff for health.

I could add a lot more, but i'll stop there. I wish all the good people i've met over the last 20-25 years on these forums were still around and doing well.

Of course not, your just fisting away each weekend. There is probably a line around the block of women just yearning for your fisting skills.

Also, the needle and the damage done.

Exactly… If you could “out train & out eat“ your genetics, I would be a hell of a lot bigger.😂😂😂

Don’t get me wrong, I believe it there’s plenty that everyone can do to maximize the generation that we are dealt. But after years of pushing 6000-7000+ clean calories in the off-season (if I eat shit, I just get fat), training intelligently and consistently, getting adequate rest, “supplementing“ everywhere between intelligently and recklessly & barely looking what I consider somewhat above average…it’s a bitter pill to swallow, but genes matter.

Agree with this. Training hard, running enough juice, and eating enough clean calories definitely made me bigger, stronger, and fatter. You live and you learn lol. Anyone can move the scale if they can move the fork and do math, but to actually gain lbm vs just store those calories is when genetics come in.

For many hard training, gear, a surplus has them looking like a bodybuilder.

For many the same recipe has them looking like a powerlifter or NFL offensive lineman.

Another example is Blessing this past weekend at Indy pro. Chad had him on the traditional hardcore you gotta suffer to win diet and cardio plan and he ends up looking like shit, then George feeds the hell out of him with very minimal cardio and the guy looks fucking amazing.
This is what's so mysterious too me. Sometimes the harder you push, the more fat loss actually slows down. There is really only hands-on experience/antecdotal evidence/"broscience" to explain this since there are no scientific studies on enhanced polypharmaceutical bodybuilders. The coaches who can figure out when/how much to restrict vs when/how much to add food are really talented.

What Shelby posted and the difference in genetics person to person. The spectrum of bodybuilding potential is the same as the one for academic intelligence meaning you have people who can barely read and write after years of schooling and others who are designing spacecraft to be flown into outer space.
That's a beautiful analogy. You can have two individuals exposed to the same academic stimulus from age 6-18 and one emerges nearly retarded while the other goes on to Msc in Mechanical Engineering working for Tesla.

I would say the conditioning by far. To get below 5% bodyfat is insane
Agree with this, I'm more impressed by low bodyfat than an abundance of muscle.

Eating calories is a pleasure, restricting them is torture. Especially impressed by guys who stay lean year round (sub 7 percent). My energy is zapped when I try to dip 2000 calorie or lower for an extended period of time.
