What are the better fats to use if your going to use some to add fat to your diet?

Say your eating chicken breast and green beans mand need to add 10-15gr fat to that meal?

I've been using EVOO when i need to but have reciently wanted to try coconut pil and macadamia nut oil also but have heard that the body doesn't use these like it does other fats/

I take 2-3 omega-3 caps before each meal excapt breakfast which i use good eggs
 
Raw Flax seeds, whole eggs, avocados, olives, almonds, macademias as you ´re using as well, these are only some of the fats you´ve asked about.

avocados are great also rich in potassium I feel like something people often overlook.

Virgin Coconut Oil! You are right, your body doesn't use those fats like others.... but that's a good thing! We are rounding at work right now and I can't share more... look up MountainDog1 and coconut oil... it's the ONLY oil I use now.
 
I like mac nut oil in terms of a healthy mono fat, it is a touch more expensive than extra virgin olive oil though. Coconut oil I've been cooking with more lately but not really adding to meals in any large quantities.

Another option to add to meals is something like almond or other nut butters if you can control that spoon and actually get the 10-15 grams of fat you intended haha. Measuring it by weight helps keep you a little more honest than piling it on a spoon.

I avoid almond cashew and peanut -butter and nuts when dieting. It’s too easy for me to over eat them.

Finely diced raw walnuts are a great choice for adding quality fats and accenting salads/vegetables. I also add them to my Whey isolate.


walnuts are high in iron, manganese, magnesium, copper, Vit B and especially omega 3 fatty acids. One serving of walnuts has over 90% RDA of omega 3's

I choose walnuts over other nuts as well. But coconut oil is my primary fat source.
 
My favorites are:

Peanut butter
Almond butter
EVOO
Mac nut oil
Raw almonds
Cashews

walnuts (very high in omega 3's)
cashews
nut butters
 
Start adding some saturated fats and let us know how it works out:

red palm oil
grass fed butter
coconut oil
 
So far evoo, fish oil vit's, eggs, little bit of almonds...I'm not the diet expert though....I think I ate a little bit of my dogs' food last night:eek: Maybe it was a dream from the Melatonin....:eek:
