What have you learned in the last year?

That eating like the Pro BB drug pigs, will only make your gut grow... (Unless also on grams of gear).
The 10mg a day of TRT protocol, keeps me in normal high range, and not much food is needed... (maintenance calories).

That first sentence is gold...for me..

1. There is zero correlation between a man's bodyweight and if his body looks good. Proportions to me are more important than lbm

2. Fad diets like the sugar diet and carnivore are not healthy, a balanced diet is best.

3. Good legs, 3d shoulders, a tight waist. You have that its hard to not look good. Structure training accordingly.

4. Training splits are not important. What is...training hard, recovering, and enjoying training.

5. The body will tell you when you need a week off...don't listen...don't cry when you get injured.

6. Imo, not getting 10k steps on any given day should make you feel just as guilty as skipping your workout.

7. Hack squats will always hurt my knees, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. And I am not someone who has knee pain..unless I hack squat.
 
Not as many calories are needed to grow then I thought for myself
 
In all fairness, "news" isnt information. It's almost always propaganda.

You remember that Epstein stuff? Until every major news network starts repeating information about Epstein around the clock non-stop, it wont be news or useful.

Consuming less propaganda is always a good thing.

I learned that i need to watch less news, not more news, being less informed can be a strength.
 
This last year Ive learned something useful but I havent figured out how to apply it to bodybuilding yet.

Whenever I have a problem, for instance, at work, it's my own issue.

No one cares unless it affects them.

So Ive started framing my problems in ways that they affect other people usually by asking questions.

I honestly cant believe how affective this is. I should have started doing this years ago.

It's synergistic problem solving. You help yourself by fixing your own issue. You also fix someone elses. And when you start having conversations with dozens of people doing the same thing you are, they always bring up how helpful you were when all you did....is ultimately help yourself.

I did something similiar with a local business. Great guy but just oblivous to whats going on around him until it ends up hurting him or his employees.

Now theres 360 degree CCTV coverage around the building. Normally I hate surveillance but this place needed it. Now it's there.

And now my issue of people almost getting merc'd by fast moving automobiles has been solved because people were using his property as a dumping ground.

I have more but you get the point.

Now I just need to make you all believe this trap/upper lat thing I have going on affects you.
 
Another add. After 30 years I figured out that my knees hate leg extensions regardless of how I setup the axis, toes up/out/in, legs wider/narrower etc etc.

Dropping them and funny enough replaced them with bodyweight sissy squats (the old school kind holding onto a support and keeping your upper body aligned with your femurs) and my knees have never felt better?

Extremely counter intuitive if you ask me...
 
I can't say i have learned anything new. Just reinforcement on what i have already known. Maybe i am old and wise beyond my 66 years. Or i am closed minded and unteachable. I say it is the former.
 
Not something I learned new this year, but kind of eye opening how many times I am reminded that calorie deficit is absolutely undefeated when it comes to weight loss. The god among men of all other factors. More wins than The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Every single motherfuckinng time I have a guy that is not losing that should be, it always ends up that they are: not tracking correctly, not being truthful about their intake, or not doing their cardio lol.

20 years ago you was wishing for where you are today. So remember to appreciate how far you have come.

Retatrutide is amazing.

You do not need a massive calorie surplus to gain muscle tissue.

Peptides are amazing.

PPL works and you enjoy it, so stick with it.

Cutting out negativity. You are what you consume.

Winners blame themselves to learn/improve. Losers blame everybody else.

if you want some added resistance to the sissy squats, try doing them in a smith machine, hack squat or pendulum squat :)

wdym by eating "like the pro BB drug pigs"? how do these piglets eat? what if you ate as them, but didnt overeat so many calories that you put on much bodyfat?

It is eye opening. We spend probably trillions to fight obesity or People sit around frustrated they can't drop 5 lbs, when the solution is as simple as downloading a calorie tracking app and step counter...both are 100% free.

Not to speak for him but id guess he's not talking about them eating so much they gain bodufat...but the combination of massive calories, drugs, gh dosages...and poor insulin sensitivity and gut health leading to guys stomach sticking out even when bf is low.

Lol. It's just the alcohol that made that decision my friend. If your anything like I was your going to constantly make the wrong decision every single time drinking. I do not miss those days at all.
