What is the best post workout carb?

Add 40 grams of sugar to your protien shake and you are good to go . TRUST ME. Any carb drink specially vitargo, is too thick on your stomach , basically this is how much fluids you're taking:

Post work out protien AND another carbs?


Your body won't know what to do , it'll just shit it out, ur stomach and intestines LOVE to work and hate ready shit.

Vitargo has never given me stomach issues whatsoever. Dextrose (at higher amounts) on the other hand has.

Whey Protein is insulinemic enough on its own. Post workout is a great time to get carbs in if your goal is to fill up glycogen, in which case anything but fructose will be fine.

If losing fat is your goal though, it's amazing what cutting out all this sugar does, and your body doesn't need the sugar for the insulin spike. Whey does a good enough job on its own.

True, but I must correct you..

Fructose will replenish liver glycogen, allowing glucose to be used for muscle glyogen. SO, you can use both together..like whole fruit.
