Whether someone is holding water sub-q or still holding on to a bit of chubb???...... When getting down to the final weeks is there an obvious way of telling??... this is for future reference...i'm 7+ weeks out and want to be able to decipher one from the other as I get down to the wire...
 
Get yourself a good pair of skin calipers. There are several formulas to use including a three spot one that you can do yourself with a little practice.

If you pinch and it has a rough grainy feeling to it's fat. If
It is More smooth and elastic it's water and skin

That's the dumbed down way of looking at it.
 
Dunk tank.

dunk tank is the best, but it is about $50 and you have to go to a facility, and depending on where you live, it could be quite a drive...so calipers are a better way if you are looking for something cheap and convenient.
 
as said above, theres quality ways of telling

however i saw a video with john meadows last week saying he uses calipers and takes his fattest area of his body....if the next week that fattest area measures less than the prior week then your in the right direction

I poke the ball on my ankle.. the more water youre holding the longer it takes to go from pale white back to your skin color.. hope this helps.:headbang:
