What personal passion project are you working on right now? (Besides BBing)

Bettering myself mentally through reading and learning. Never ending project

I've been involved in tv/movies/commercials for years—on the creative side but this lockdown time gave me time to really sit down and write a couple screenplays i have. Just a couple shorts, but still motivating. Gave me a creative outlet to really learn, try something new.

Obviously making a movie is expensive but I've spent time getting quotes for everything...from the cinematographer to my editor. Hoping to knock out both by the end of 2020.

a little in between I guess. Predominantly holistic if I have to choose one. Any idea where to start?

I'm technically certified as a holistic specialist through my nursing degree. Holistic approaches offer a lot of advantages, it's trendy and you can forge your own approach but remember it's a market littered with snake oils and frauds. If you're going to charge people money there is a minimum amount of formal education you're going to need. I can't believe the amount some coaches charge who couldn't pass a high school nutrition class. The doctor I use to scribe under was also a holistic specialist, he was a great example if you actually understand what's going on you can apply adjuncts and alternative medicines effectively, if not you're just a clout chaser shunning traditional medicine.

You have to know what you bring to the table first and foremost. I'm an independent strength coach, usually charge $20-50 an hour to train young athletes to be prepped for a college weight program. I don't have to sell snake oil or make claims, I'm an educator in my mind not a salesman. I think I'm any form of health advocacy position needs to have that mindset.

Great stuff!

Do the students you coach for college sports ask you about steroids? I'm curious if they do and how you handle it.

When I was teaching high school science the boys would ask me if I was " on roids". Of course I'd lie. Never liked lying.

Surprisingly no not from my kids. I've downsized over the past year and there's a lot of athletics over here. So in there eyes I'm no more jacked than the local football team.

Now when I wanted to make a run at a pro card yeah I couldn't go anywhere without people asking me about it. I don't miss that shit.

Jesus, the list of fucking projects.
Lets see:
1. I live in the woods, half my yard is woods. I cleared out all the brush, graded the uneven ground, planted seed and fertalized. Grew a lawn just for a place for the kids swing set.
2. The tree house. Again for the kids. 7 FT off ground. 12x16 foot structure that I'm going to side in locally sourced timber shingles. Just need to figure out how to plumb it since I'm running electricity out to it.

3. Hand cleared and re sodded front yard.

4. Built home gym : Power rack, flat bench, flooring, 405 in 45 lb plates, new chicago bar. Now I need some 25's, 10's and some adjustable dumbells along with an adjustable bench

5. Cable pully system, Lowes/home depo build. Want to put the how to on youtube. going to build it this weekend.

6. Rebuild knife shop at the new house

7. Launch my youtube channels this summer. Training(Whatever kick im on at the monent. Bodybuilding, strong man..etc), Outdoors stuff ( Bushcraft, knife making, outdoor adventure, outdoor gear), Gun channel.. so the other one stays monitized.
8. REmove all rocks from around pool, install pavers
9. install tool shed for lawn equipment
10. replace pool house which is just a shed with a permanent structure.

11. start framing and dry wall in the attic to make it my office.

Also, and I'm going to post a separate thread for this, if anyone can recommend any free video editing software I'd appreciate it.. Something usable by a moron would be great. It's for PC.. I will not touch a MAC. And if anyone has any basic tips on filming I'd love to have a brief conversation.

Taking up the piano and trying to get the lawn to look like Augusta golf course

Whiskey

Getting into guns. I was into collecting shoes, watches and colognes now I've shifted to guns. Bought 7 guns in the last couple of months
