I have been using 25g x 1" for quads, shoulders and calves. Can I use this for glutes, too? Or is 25g too thin?

1" in your calves? wow.. how often and how much do you pin into your calves?
Should be fine. Depending on your bodyfat 1.5 may be a bit better. I have used 23 for glutes because i have bent a 25 from getting a lat cramp.
Mine is in coconut oil (mct) I warm up slightly in warm water and use 25g 1in no problem.
I don't recommend it but I know a guy using slin pins with mct oil gear. -I didn't like it personally But yes it can be done.
I doubt a slin pin in the glutes unless you are lean as all hell. I use 1/2" slin pins for everywhere else though and it works great. I always backload them because it's much quicker
