What to take to stop hair loss ?

Newbie Q here sorry... lol

Just about to start a Deca/Test Cycle, just wondering what i can use to stop any negative effects on my hair, i understand i shouldent use any 5AR blockers such as Proscar/Propecia, so what would you reccomend ?

I take Nizoral 2% and it works great. Makes my hair thick and blocks some DHT.

Nizoral is also one of the OTC items that can cause gyno. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

If you are prone to hair loss, you might be able to slow it down, but not stop it while on gear. One of my friends back in late 90's stopped using gear forever over hair loss. He told me he would rather have hair then be big and bald. lol.

ericraven2003 - I think i am prone to hairloss my father and brother are both bald/balding, i understand there is no way to stop it but anything i can do it slow it down is a bonus Damm a might just get a hair transplant.. lol

I read about a cool lazer treatment that is used on the scalp to stimulate growth. It looked promising.

Multi-pronged Approach...

1) Nizoral, 2%, 3ml, 3-5 times per week, let sit on scalp for 5 minutes before rinsing. 3ml's as it will make the bottle last longer. I actually draw mine up with a syringe in the shower... I'm a dork.

2) Spironolactone cream, 5%, 1ml, once a day

3) Minoxidil, 10%, 1mL, 1-2 times per day

4) Buy a dermaroller to offer greater penetration of mentioned products. Google it.

The cream is once per day d/t the %... it will last a couple months then.
I choose minoxidil 10% (instead of 15) only b/c with the dermaroller the absorption is increased and you could experience hypotension (I got a LITTLE light-headed a couple times).

Get the cream and shampoo from Dr.Lee... minoxidil.com

Get the minoxidil from EBay.

Expect shedding. Some old dead hairs will fall out in preparation for new live hair. Give it a solid SEVERAL months of routine application. You should be happy with the results.
