Three weeks ago I was doing incline db curls and I heard a pop. It didn't hurt at all but I lost all of my strength (could not curl). No throbbing pain when I am relaxing, but if I try to curl anything over 20 pounds with that arm I feel a pain in my bicep/forearm. It hasn't had any impact on any of my other workouts besides wide grip pull-ups. I can do hammer curls with medium weight but any curl that has my palm facing up hurts and I have no strength. Anyone have experience with something like this? No deformity or anything to my arm.

Thanks

Sounds like a partial tear or strain to your brachioradialis. Basically tennis elbow man. Take a finger or something and push until you find the spot that hurts the most and push on it. Trigger point release. Look it up. Do that until the excruciating pain starts to dull. This can help you get through your training. But if that's indeed what it is it's on overuse injury. The only thing that's ever made mine better is to rest it. R.I.C.E. look it up. If you start up on your bicep and put your finger on your brachial vein and follow it down till you get to your forearm you'll find the exact spot. It usually happens right under that vein. Hope this helps bro. That injury is a bastard and it will probably plague you off and on forever.

The popping noise is the alarm If get it checked out

I am probably going to. I have had so many injuries and over time they got better. I was hoping this injury would be the same and heal over time.

sounds like you rolled the bicep tendon...(one of them)

what area of the forearm bicep is the pain...???

like wheres the exact area...???

the brachii tendon is right there......I think you rolled it or
partially ripped it...

btw.....incline DB curls are the worst for these tendons..
if you must from now on.....only do incline hammers

Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

That's right where the distal biceps tendon insert is. It appears your biceps tendon is still attached though. I tore mine off the bone right there completly and my bicep was non existant immediately after I tore it. It made a really loud pop and I never had any pain whatsoever or swelling but I was in the er that night after work and they confirmed it. Getting the MRI was more painful than the injury having my arm in that hard plastic fucking thing holding still. It was reattached about a week later. Go se an orthopedic surgeon. And get an mri see how bad it's torn. I'd stop training before you tear it completely because it can heal if it's not too bad.

Sounds like you had a small tear in the bicep tendon. You are right with time it will heal. Keep an eye around the area and just below midpoint in your forearm as you should start to see bruising appear as inflammation calms down and trapped blood is released.
If it's in your budget grab some gh to help it heal and fix up any underlying connective tissue damage.
