What type of Whey

So, i've always used "champion nutriton" whey. I love the taste,its cheap,etc.. BUT now that im gonna be adding insulin into my regimine I need a whey thats gonna be in and out of my system. Im already gonna use waxy maize and then 10min later have my whey, but think it will make a BIGG diff if I continue to use the champion whey or do I need an isolate? If so, do I want the whey isolate ion-exchange, isolate cold filtration, or the isolate microfiltrated?
 
No offense Bro, but you are talking about insulin use that you need or should have some decent knowledge to use, but don't know the basics of protein use. Anyways any isolate would be good.
 
I DO NOT use insulin, but I think Hydrolyzed Whey is the easiest way to go. This is a description of it off of TrueProtein website:

Hydrolyzed Whey is enzymatically partially digested protein. This hydrolyzing process splits proteins in to smaller chain peptides and amino acids, di and tri peptides. This in turn makes the end product more biologically accessible to the user. Hydrolyzed whey is the most digestible source of whey protein.

Another more expensive option for PW would be to injest BCAA's in fairly high doses along with some glutamine all mixed with high GI carbohydrate beverage. Add in creatine if you like as well. Something like this:


L-Leucine 7 g
L-Isoleucine 3.5 g
L-Valine 3.5 g
L-Glutamine 5 g
Creatine 6 g

That's 19 grams of BCAA's and glutamine. This mixed with 75g of Hi GI Carb beverage would be a great PW "nutrient" delivery for maximum absorbtion and anti-catabolic effect. Then approximately an hour later have a solid meal. This allows the muscles to be hit first with the BCAA's and rapid uptake. Then after an hour or so, the higher calorie carb/protein meal is consumed and feeds the muscles slower and longer.

Agreed any isolate is fine, make sure you eat again about an hour later, some lean protein and complex carbs. What type of slin?
 
How much insulin and carbs are you planning to use.

I should have been more clear about slin. I definately did my research. I plan on using 10iu's pwo immediately following 100g waxy maize, 10min later 80g whey. Then 1hr later a meal with 50 fast acting carbs and easily digested protien, no fat. Followed by the same meal 2.5hrs later. Also will be starting at 2iu's and working way up to 10iu's and only using it 3x per week. Also have a bsl reader.

No.

Just use a good quality whey protein. Whey blend is fine, isolate only is fine, concentrate only is fine. Just make sure it's top quality. You're splitting hairs.
 
I did a little reseach and it seems like most wheys will be fine as long as they are from a good company. Except to avoid bloating I may go with a pure isolate.
 
No doubt SynthePure from Synthetek, bloat free, taste free, carbs free. 96% pure whey isolate.

I think the point is it doesn't matter which one you choose, make sure it is carb/fat free whey to use with insulin.



And on a side note, Hell is about to freeze over...Marshall has given good advice about 1.) insulin use- without telling the guy NOT to use it b/c Mentzer didn't and 2.) whey protien- again without telling the guy he didn't need it...and didn't tell the guy he would be better off eating chocolate cake!! LOL

Just kiddin' with you Marshall, I couldn't help it!! ;-)
