What is proper form....I also thought it was controling weight but someone was like no it has nothing to do with speed of a rep its how u do the exercise so can someone explain to me what proper form is lol

You should start studying up on biomechanics.

After a while you'll start to feel it
other than that I can only follow bigboy's advice, just look up what each muscle does en try to mimic that with weights

I know how the muscle is worked...but I'm sort of meaning speed wise...

Proper form is when you put maximum stimulating stress on the muscle through it's proper range of motion without injuring it or any other muscles/tendons/joints/etc.

It's really individual, I would say the more advanced you are in terms of the right feel, the faster you can do your reps.

Something you should never do whatsoever is counting your rep speed, focus on other things like the feel or sexy girls while doing your reps :D

so, why do alot of people say ronnie has bad form? SO say if its takes u a second or less 2 preform a rep its still good form....or should the reps be contrled?

I don't understand what you mean by "should they be controled"? My answer, yes, I do NOT want 400 lbs just dropping to my chest and bouncing off of it. Nor do I want to just "plop" down doing squats and hope my knees can bounce the weight back up.

No matter how fast or slow, you still need to control the weight. You're lifting the weight, don't let it lift you.

what I mean by "should they be controled" is like u know how many people not all but alot from what i've seen not saying its incorrect but when they lift they lift fast the weight does bounce of there chest or anything but it'll take them like a sec to do a rep when they go down with the weight its like sort of like there just letting it drop down pretty fast like how ronnie does if you've ever seen a clip of his....hope that sort of cleared it up for ya

Control the weight but simple 7th grade physics

force = mass*speed*distance

Do a couple slow reps and feel the muscle if your not in tune but all that counting rep speed is shit my .02

I want to use the energy in the muscle to move weight not to balance it because thats what a slow rep is weight balancing

But on the flip do not be one of those guys bouncing weights off your sternum
