I was looking through some old threads on this and it seems to be one of the most effective supplements for improving/lowering cholesterol aside from fish oil and the rest which are mentioned frequently. Is it worth taking Red Yeast Rice as a preventative measure when starting a cycle of something which is known to trash blood lipids? Just wondering what the risk vs reward is here, and would like to get the input of the vets here.
