Whats the most brutal training regime you have put yourself through?

What did you do during the winter, did you ride your bike on a trainer? Talk about boring, I dont know how anyone does that. I had one back in the late 80s, it had the 2 fans on the back that used wind resistance and boy is it loud! I guess the new ones today use magnetic resistance, and one other means which I cant recall?

First of all I don't train to that volume anymore. I take spinning classes and I have a Fluid trainer that is very quiet. I have a TV and DVD set up and I watch all the movies that my wife can't stand. Well, those movies that I watch for more than 8 minutes.
 
Mike Mentzer's heavy duty training, the original form. Were you do just one set of 8-10 reps for each bodypart. The set consists of doing enough weight that you can do just 1 single, and then you rest, then do another single, etc until you get out 8-10 reps. Absolutely burtal and it overtained me the first week so I tossed it.


Will have to look Mike Mentzer's training up and give it a go. Sounds fun!!!

My most brutal w/out? I worked legs w/ a group ppl that performed a circuit style training routine utilizing 50 lbs for each exercise X 50 reps. I think we did 5 different exercises that evening and performed the circuit twice. It was insanity!!!

I looked around the net some the last few days and couldnt find the old workout I had used. It might be hard to find now. I think I found it on the site that covers the olympia, I dont ever go there so I forget its name.
