What do you guys find is the best exercise for you to grow your Hamstrings??

Lately I just been doing 10 sets of "strait leg" dead lifts keepng the reps in the 8-15 range. Standing on a short box lowering the bar all the way down to touch the top of my feet then pulling up till the bar is just below my knee keeping tension on the muscle the whole time and an extreme stretch (I'm actually pretty limber)

Stretching the shit out of them and using the rumble roller post workout. This Seems to be bringing my hams up faster than the sumo squats and legs curls have in the past.

So what works for you guys

SLDL and the lying leg curls for max contraction. I've also had some success with warming up my hammies then doing some heavy compounds like power squat (not sumo) and wide/high leg press.

Ive had trouble with hamstrings as I have a shit posterior core and the surrounding musculature is garbage. Adding a lifting shoe and being focused on my anterior pelvic tilt has helped and im starting to work off these bird legs!

Google: Inverse hamstring curl by Westside Barbell. Will make you your bitch if your gym has it. Just got done with hams/glutes.

Low bar squats, sldl, lying ham curl, standing individual ham curl, lunges, inverse are in my current rotation.

Hook kicking SJWs.

Supersets of seated or lying leg curls with stiff leg dead lifts.

I like and do this alot. Sometimes I will finish with partials on the leg curl or a static hold on the seated leg curl so a tri-set. Although my fav actual exercise for hamstrings is a hammer strength standing leg curl. You don't see that machine much but there was one in my old gym and it was great.

Romanian deadlift so I am not working the lumbar region and just the hams. Along with a leg curl. This will work all the major hamstring muscles.

try this one . . .

Stiff legged deads is best for me no doubt

Yeah, I used a reverse hyperextension machine that was real good like that. Worked well. Never been so sore.

I wish we had one. We have a lot of hammer strength stuff at our place but not that.

I like to do the lying leg curls with one leg at a time, and sometimes will try to elevate my torso off the bench as high as possible while doing them!

Haven't done stiff legs in a while. Going to have to give them a try soon. Thanks
