What's your favorite leg workout?

todays leg workout!

leg extensions 2-3 set of warm ups then add some weight for every one of these sets
set 1 - 15 reps with a 1 second flex
set 2 - 12 reps with a 2 second flex
set 3 - 10 reps with a 3 second flex
set 4 - 8 reps with a 4 second flex
set 5 - 6 reps with a 5 second flex
set 6 - 4 reps with a 6 second flex

stretch

hack squats - 5 x 25 with feet together in the middle of the platform - go down about 3/4 of the way. {this crushed my freakin quads} brutal shit!

leg press with feet on the bottom of the plate for your teardrop - 1 set to failure. I got 140 reps with two plates per side {volume not strength on this one} could not even stand up after this set :eek:

seated leg curls - 4 sets of 12

dumbell stiff legs - go up 3/4 of the way then back down - 3 sets of 10

finished!!! brutal shit to do on a low calorie diet.. ha ha ha but its game on for vegas! john meadows is one sick puppy ;)
 
I went to look at getting a different vehicle last week about 2 hours after that workout. I drove to a dealership, got out of the car and both of my legs cramped and I almost fell on my ass....the guy selling cars was like "are you ok man"...it was awesome....hahaha

Box Squats pyramiding up in weight, and then dropsets til I get back to just the bar.
Pull-throughs
GHR's
Calves

^ this is more of a hamstring/glute centered workout

Squats
Hack Squats
Leg Extensions
Body weight squats
Standing Calf Raises from the ground... sometimes slanted only using bodyweight

Depends on the day and the goals/weak points I wanna achieve/bring up.
 
what really helped my lagging legs was giant sets that made me almost faint and puke, but loved it.
Squats 2sets/Failure superset with
Leg press 2sets/Failure
Hack squat 2sets/Failure

End with leg extensions 1 set to 50 or 60 reps
Stiff leg DL 1 set 20-30 reps
Or every once in awhile i would put on 135 on the squat rack do 10 reps, rest for 10secs then do 9 reps rest 10secs then 8 reps ect.... until u got to one rep then try and work yourself back up if possible.

must have been one hell of a workout.. haha mine tend to freeze up on me only on heavy squats.. but i HATE leg days.. lol:D

I just tried one of John's workouts last night that he sent me a while ago and it was a huge change compared to what i'm doing and i can't even walk today ! It wasn't half as hard as what you have listed above! Awesome job nailing that workout on such a low cal diet!
