As we develop and learn more about our own bodies training methods employed evolve and vary over time. How do you currently train? How did you end up training this way versus previous methods you have used?

Basics: Lift as heavy as I can with exercises that perpetually allow strength progression with the lowest risk of injury and highest muscle fiber stimulation.

Dialing it in: manipulation of volume, timing, and rep pattern systems.

Hope Im being a good student.

lots of volume

one body part a week

calves e.o.d

never the same workout twice

try to pull deads 2 times a month

very instictively

my favorite always has been and always will be DC training, but my body won't allow me to do it for long, getting strong really fast takes its toll on my joints and ligaments.

Do you worry about progression? and how do you track it?

dont track anything
never did...just heavy as i can
if i feel like heavy......sometimes not

but......recently contemplating D.C.

my have to make the change soon

As of recently, higher volume, each workout is different, 4xDay in the gym, and always making sure the load on certain exercises makes me really work for each rep. Feel pretty good on it as of now, the high volume, but less days in the gym is the change I needed.

Before I started the MTNDG 4 Day Split (above)....I was stuck on lower volume, more days in the gym, and testing my strength with heavy ass load for me the first 3 workouts on the split, then detailing it the last 3 days of the split. Never was in the gym for a long a time on that 6 Day split.

I think sling shotting back and forth from higher volume workouts to lower volume workouts can and will work for most, just need to give it a try. The key is still progress, when that hits a wall, find another way to progress!

Push Pull Method works best for me

I do one set of pushing exercize then one set of a pulling exersize..

ex. bench / T-bar Rows

Bicept Curls, Tricept Push downs

Abs, Lower Back
