We all have em, but we all don't do them. I never really cared for these, because I didn't see the point for having a new life changing goal with the timespan of 1 year to achieve it. I have one now that can be accomplished, I want a 300/400/500 total in bench press, squat, deadlift before the year is out. Also to get lean and condition with the help of Alex. Whats yours?

keep my fingernails manicured

to not make a new years res. :)

Work super hard this off season on putting on some size.... training harder and heavier....and eating more... not staying so lean all year long... have a good productive of season..

I have a never give up attitude.. I will compete again and will keep at it till i achieve my goals ... i started the plan the day after my last show... i will be working all year on this. I love bodybuilding all year but to get the placing i desire.. i have to make a change in my off season strategy.. shows are not won during a 16 week prep but during this time leading up to the prep...

Also.. i want to keep a super strong relationship with my wife and kids.. spend as much time with them as possible..

kids grow fast and are so awesome at this age.. Kids are so awesome at this age and i want to be a part of their life as much as possible..

Family first and bodybuilding second !

mine actually is to get healthy, drop down to 300 or sub 300. do more cardio less brute force bullshit weights.
look more long term than for today

Spend time doing things that matter

Be more compassionate

Be a better listener

Develop my skill set (writing, reading, training, etc.)

Worry less, act more

Don't crave too much

Help others in need

Develop more strength (mentally as well as physically)

Judge less

Be there for the people that need me

Be present and mindful

Be grateful and generous

Work hard, be happy, be thankful, and give a full effort on all aspects of my life!

Listen more, think of others more, smile more, sleep more :)

To serve God first and put others before my own needs.

2 things..

1) Treat my wife better

2) Get under 10% B/F for the first time in my life..I think I was born with 50% B/F

Rekindle relationships with some close friends.

Getting more involved in our church and community.

Compete as a light heavyweight.

(1) more consistent cardio
(2) cut sugar drinks out of my diet (switch to sugar free red bull)

To give up smoking, as I had being of cigs for 2 years then started smoking again due 2 stress...As I want to get fit and healthy again and most importantly to prolong my life to see my daughter grow up!..

I'm right there with you Mrs Bapper..I gave up alcohol on the 4th of this month after a 30 yr binge and haven't touched a drop since..Next thing will be to give up smoking that has been going on in my life for over 40 yrs..

I have the feeling that to stop smoking is going to be a lot tougher then to stop drinking alcohol..~!

do well spring semester. Spend as much time with my daughter, and see her grow. Spend lot's of time with my family and friends!

This will be the first year that I have made any for myself. I have a few.

1. Stronger faith in God. I go to church every sunday but honestly some fo those sundays I find myself just sitting there staring at the clock waiting for it to be over. I'm going to read the bible more and put more effort into my faith...when I do this my life always seems to be alot better.

2. Get back to my "hardcore" self in the gym. Get back on a good offseason diet and stick with it...alot of the time if I'm not getting ready for a show I will slack in my diet (The goal is to eat more food thats going to pack on the quality muscle mass more so then getting fat, geneticly I dont carry much body fat) . Focus more on my training and train as if it could be my last time every working that body part.

3. Take more time to enjoy life instead of spending so much time trying to make money. I'll admit that 2009 I found myself getting a little greedy...now that the year is over and it's all said and done ...I spent so much time trying to build up my bank account only time realize that I missed out on alot of things and it did nothing for my over all happyness.

4, Put the needs and concerns of my friends and family before mine. I dont feel that I got to out of hand with this but there is always room for improvement.

5.Further my education...I been putting this off and as the saying goes "I'm not getting any younger"

I know that my plate is going to be full but I feel that I can handle this if I truely put forth the time and effort. I am really looking forward to 2010. 2009 wasn't the greatest year but looking back I can honestly say that since 2006 my life has not been going in the direction that I had planned and instead of feeling sorry about it or complaining it is time to put my new plans into action.

Ummm lets see.
1) To keep pushing myself harder at everything I do. And to know, if I gave it my all, then I never failed.
2) To spend more time with my family (parents and sister)
3) To help with my Dad's diet so he can extend his time with us.
4) To volunteer with the Red Cross and Humane Society more often.
5) And to remember next time I think about moving back to Michigan, that winter sucks!
6) Ohh, and to travel more when I can.

i don't have one/any, this way i don't get upset or depressed if i fail at it. no but seriously, new years resolutions are like the diet that always starts on monday. if something is worthwhile, start it today and stick to it.
