When Did Y’all Start Feeling Old?

Funny this thread was started as I was just thinking about this yesterday. I don't know why but my last trip to vegas popped up in my head where I didn't wanna do shit but order room service compared to a trip 5 years ago where I barely even saw my hotel room. A dumb example but it was what I was thinking about yesterday.

Anyone else feel like AAS use accelerated feeling old and shitty? That 5 years ago was when I started AAS.....

Whenever I make a cultural reference to a gen X era film like "Back to the Future" and everyone in the room just stares at me blankly.

I went back to school. The math professor made a reference to Nelly, the rapper. I was the only one in the room that laughed. I then did the math and when Country Grammer album came out most of the class was 3 years old. lol I felt a little older that day.

Turned 50 this year and feeling GREAT!... desire to compete is gone but still train my ass off and eat 95% clean.... Look just as good as anybody in my gym... pretty pleased.... granted i got into this game late.... didn't lift a weight til i was 29... so maybe i don't have the same wear and tear of some of you guys.... have been able to stay pretty injury free as well (thankfully) other than some normal stuff.....been taking HGH since 2014... definitely has helped

Lol, I did the same "back to school" and felt like Rodney Dangerfield.

Look good as anyone in my gym-lol yea ok!

Mid 30’s I started feeling just a bit run down. Laboring job my whole life along with I couldn’t tell you how many crashes off a dirt bike and four wheeler, as well as the heavy lifting since mid teenager has me Feeling those aches and pains. In general it’s just right out of bed though, once loosened up and going for the day I feel good. Then about the end of the work day comes and I’m thrashed again. Daily process that I’ve gotten used to. But it’s a small price to pay for all the fun and memories I’ve had doing the stuff I love. Wouldn’t change a thing if I could do it all over again.

Fwiw, and I just thought about it, but I'm normally in bed by about 8pm, and I recently just moved away from a part of town that is 'too rambunctious'. What the fuck I've never used that word before!

And life is much more quiet, but also much more frustrating because all the little shit starts to irritate. I hate to see how irritable I am in ten more years. At the same time I've also become a bit more carefree, more 'live and let live' and 'who really gives a fuck?'

Heard that. I have no doubt I’m going to be the grumpy old man yelling at the neighbor kids to get off my grass when I get older. As time passes it takes less to irritate me.

Another thing. I forget literally everything. If it can be forgotten, I've forgotten it. Often. I go to work straight after gym in the morning, so my work clothes go in my bag. I forget underwear or socks about 68‰ of the time.

Can we not talk about keys?

I mean a smoke a good bit of weed, but goddamn.

The first time I heard Welcome to the Jungle on a classic rock station! It's not so much that it made me feel old, more that it really hit hard when you realize how fast time does pass.

Dude don't feel bad, I'm 35 and shit that came out in high school is now considered 'classic rock'

Last year when my son beat me in a foot race. It was pretty devastating to be honest with you.

Depends on where y'all live, in the South we're all Sir and Ma'am lol. Its about respect when you approach someone.

Im 44 and dont feel anything. In fact, I feel and do more than when I was 20. I grew up with very bad nutritional habits and was very skinny. After 30 started learning and studying about nutrition and wellness and changed my whole life. It was like if my body was born again. In fact by stopping gluten 100% I completely erased life long symptoms and my energy and focus sky rocketed.

Also helps the fact that I never did any recreational drug. Only tried marihuana a couple times and gave me panic attacks. I do not drink, I do not smoke. I enjoy better sober and healthy every single second of life.

From 32 to 41 I was a pornstar and for 4 years also a stripper. I stayed on the healthy lifestyle always, and the most beautiful memories of those years probably stopped the clock for me too. Today I dont feel any pain, soreness, tiredness, nothing. Jump out of the bed every morning better than when I was 20. No wrinkles, NEVER taken any prescription drug and never will, no vaccines of course, I have never had in my life a "primary care doctor", every time they ask me who is it, I laugh my ass off. I dont know who's that and I dont see why I should have a doctor LOL.

I know my body isn't as efficient anymore, but I don't feel OLD per se.

I suppose there are more aches and pains, but I can't recall when they became a thing...it just slowly crept up.

Biggest difference in daily life is digestion. I can't eat anywhere near what I did even 10 years ago.

I’m almost 50 and for me it was around 42. Injuries started occurring frequently and my sleep pattern began to suffer then as well. ED started to creep up as well. TRT has changed lots of things for the good, but I still “feel” myself slowing down. When I get outta bed in the morning I really feel my age. Stiff and sore as hell. My shoulders are painful and stiff and my calves and Achilles’ tendons feel like they have no elasticity anymore . I’m convinced that throwing around heavy weights all these years hasn’t helped one bit. Sometimes I wish I woulda taken up running and not weights as a younger guy. Sorry for the rant, just had to get that off my chest as I find it more difficult to get up and moving each morning . Don’t get old guys .
After a crazy motorcycle accident at 50. 12 surgeries involved. It kicked my ass!

I played my last semi pro football game at 45. And I was still an impact player just a step slower but played smarter. Iv had too many injuries And surgeries to begin to list then all. But fuck I’m 50 and I smoke every single person I work with no matter how young they are and I still have a better body than most people regardless of their age. I’ve taken horrible care of myself for many years and disregarded my health and welfare for the most part. Always burning the candle from both ends. But you know I just still don’t feel “old”. Mainly I cannot eat the volume of food like I used to. But I now know it is not even necessary. And my sleep quality keeps getting worse but hey I’m still kicking ass and taking names. Old is a state of mind. My body still responds to my brain. I’m still chasing and impressing women half my age. It’s all what you make of it!
