I use a bit of both. I throw in a few exercises dc style. Also just some plain heavy sets of 3-5. Usually compound movements. aside from certain movements my rep range usually varies from 8-20. Some supersets are thrown in too. I always leave the gym knowing I didn't half ass it. Which is satisfying to me. This is how I train year round. On or off aas.
Dependa where im at with the diet. I found getting motivated to go to the gym was tough but once in there with a pump and being that lean it makes you rise to the occaison. Definitely tend to be more cautious with the weight and up the volume

Exactly. If I'm low carbing it and sluggish I'll drag my ass in there power threw a few work sets and I'll catch a second wind and it's beast mode from there out.
One thing I've learned about training.
I can train a body part crazy insane balls to the wall once a week
OR
I can a train a body part volume lower the intensity twice per week.(depending on caloric intake)
But gains come best for me with once a week and I tend to recover and stay fuller like this(especially while dieting)
