when you finally heal from injuries, do a cycle or train naturally?

I am recovering from a pec tear, and also now have a lower back inury to go along with it. I have lost quite a bit of mass, especially due to the pec tear. I went from benching 340 for reps (alot for me), to doing 115 for reps.

At the time I got hurt, I was 260 but alot of it was fat. I have been dieting down because I figure I will lose size anyway due to my injury, so I am just dieting trying to get cut, so when I am finally healed I will be nice and lean and can concentrating on getting my mass back.

Right now I am about 219lbs, much better bodyfat then when I was at 265 but lost quite a bit of muscle.

Im wondering what you guys think i should do once I heal and get lean enough when I can end my diet. Hopefully once Im done dieting I will be healed enough to start using heavy weight again and can put on mass....

Should I....

A. Train naturally for a while, maybe 10 weeks. Assuming since I have lost so much muscle, that I will experience great gains even without gear. Take advantage of this time and make natural gains and save the cycle for when these natural gains begin to stall.



B. RIght when the diet ends and injuries heal, go on a nice cycle and hopefully blow up as my body will be primed for growth since I have lost so much mass and been dieting for so long.

Just would like to get some opinons on what to do. I think for my future cycles I am going to do shorter cycles, maybe 4-6 weeks, if that makes a difference.
 
I'm sort of in the same situation. I came back from shoulder surgery (amongst personal issues), lost a TON of gains and looked (still do) like shit.

Came back training natty because I didn't think my body was ready for a cycle. Was afraid to stress the repairs too much, too quickly, and be back where I started again.

Two months in and a cycle is a slight consideration down the road. My diet is great. Already dropped about 15lbs that I had gained while doing basically nothing and being a sad sack of shit. Definitely can tell muscle gains are being made though.

Seems like a personal call IMO. I didn't want to have to go through surgery again and time off work.
 
thanks bro, so during your down time what did you do for diet? did you overeat and try and preserve gains, or did you just not watch your diet at all?

i feel like im doing the right thing by using this time to cut up. atleast i will be lean when i heal, so i can concentrate soley on eating/training to get big again. the other thought i had was to try and eat high calories in hopes of preserving mass, but without proper training (due to injuries) i probably woouuld have lost my mass anyway.
 
I ran into some personal issues during that time as well which caused me to not give a damn about myself. So it was nothing to get off work and down 4-5 double cheeseburgers and a gallon of sweet tea. Horrible, disgusting, and my health paid the price. Gaining 40lbs in a matter of a few short months is not healthy. Had I kept on a good diet, I would not have fallen into the state I am (was). My escape from a lot of problems was lifting and exercise, when I lost that I wasn't in the mind set to move on. Now all that is fixed and life is good once again.

I just went to my doctor and had a physical for my new job, in a matter of 30-45 days I dropped my BP by 30-35 points and my heart rate by 25. How? I quit eating crap and starting watching what I shove down my throat. Now I do indulge in fast food on a weekly basis, but nothing like before. Trying to ease myself back into a healthier life style.

Gear would have helped you heal faster. I mean, it helps us recouperate from the tiny tears we induce while lifting, so it also would have helped you heal faster in the first place.

If you weren't on a cycle when you got injured, you should have started one as soon as you were injured, that way you'd be healing faster than naturally. It would still make sense to baby the injured part some right after the injury to allow it to heal. You could have still used the cycle time to work on other body parts.

The one caveat I would add is that your recouperative healing cycle would need some AAS that enhances collagen synthesis in order to counter the collagen reduction caused by high exogenous test levels. Deca & HGH bother help collagen.

Were you using winny when you tore your pec?
 
hey bro, i was on text and eventually tren i threw in half way. i did a 19 weeker ( i know, too long) of very high test and very high tren.

my bench went from something like 255x7 to 345x7. i came off cycle, and was trying to keep my lifts up to keep mass so i stared usin slin and gh PW, 10iu each PW.

about a week after I came off I was recoverning nicely, no erection problems, retaining my mass, and i was still doing my heavy bench and thats when i hurt the pec minor (it was 4 months ago).


i didnt wanna go right back on after coming off such a heavy cycle, so i have just kinda shriveled down ever since and decided to cut up cuz i had gotten quite fat on my cycle.
