Easly you could. They cannot come in and break/destroy valueable property and not pay for it. We are not in Nazi Germany. No cop or anyone is allowed to come into your home and destroy property without paying for it.

I have seen a couple of detailed searches on drug search warrants. What takes the police 6 or 8 hours, will take you days to put back in its place. They will trash what ever you have and not think twice about it.

I just talked to a buddy of mine who is a L.A. Sheriff. He said whatever is broken as long as it didnt look like an accident, has to be paid for no matter if you were found with drugs or not. For example if they throw your 6,000$ bigscreen on the floor and it bashes open, they have to pay for that. Simple things they don't though. Anything valuable they must pay for if broken.

i do wonder what abvout a storage unit ? they would need a seperate warrant correct ? could be a good way to get all those boxes open and sorted.....

Storage unit wouldn't be so good unless you use a fake ID to get it I suppose.
