Sleep apnea isn't age discriminatory, as LS pointed out. Nor is it selectively weight related. In some cases, yes losing weight can help. A majority of the time, it's more-so related with anatomical jaw structure, such as a recessed jaw, tongue width, swollen tonsils/adenoids amongst several other abnormalities within the mouth/neck can contribute to OSA. As well, anabolics can exacerbate preexisting OSA.
I see you're still kinda hung-up with confussing iron with hemoglobin, again they're not interchangeable. So no, it won't increase your hemoglobin to any significant degree. Given that, it can increase your iron/ferritin. In such case's if one's inflicted with hemochromatosis (iron overload) then extra consumption of red meat can pose some detriments.
