in all seriousness, though. I don't think it makes much difference between those two. I'd go coconut because of taste and versatility with other foods but when you're dialing down between two naturally sourced products(that are basically the same), I just don't think theres any advantage from one to the other.
I use and love both! I try to get in at least 2 Tbsp of MCT oil and 2 Tbsp of coconut oil daily! I prefer coconut oil for cooking....and I will add MCT oil to shakes and foods!
Those are some of the fat's I consume regularly. If my dietary fat is low then I use fish/krill oils as well. You are overthinking things and either is fine. But sure if you are consuming it throughout the day I would go with a good quality coconut oil.
Whole eggs
Extra virgin olive oil
All forms of nuts currently: cashews, almonds, walnuts, brazils, filberts, peanuts. I never eat deez nuts, or chin nuts.
Coconut oil and mct are both great! I had the differences explained to me by the vitaminshoppe sales person but don’t remember or think it’s relevant.
I once bought a bottle of coconut oil from GNC and just drank it out of the bottle in the dose recommended. It shot through me like a laxative. I have never had such bad cramps, terrible pain and I was on the toilet for hours. I don't know why it did that. I drink coconut milk just fine, but the oil tore me a new one. I used this long ago and it worked well for me: https://www.parrilloperformance.com/product/captri-mct-oil/
On an empty stomach in the morning, MCT is better for alertness and you need to make sure it contains a lot of capric 8 (maybe caprilyc 8 I forgot how its spelled)
As a good addition of saturated fats, coconut oil.
