I lived in Shanghai, China for a few years. The time I spent over there marks the only time I got annoyed while at the gym. Here's some examples;
- Every dumbbell from the dumbbell rack is sprawled across the entire gym floor . . when you're done using weights on the barbell, leave them on the floor. Watch where you step!
- "I think three is not enough" - a Chinese trainer who was watching me do a warm-up set of three reps
- "So you are going to pick that up and put it back down over and over again?" (said to me after my deadlift set, with a condescending tone of voice).
- "The bar is too low" - said to me after a set of low-bar squats.
- "You're not doing enough exercises for your muscles" - the brief time I was messin' around with DC training.
- "Please don't do that anymore, you are going to hurt yourself!" - said to me after a set of deadlifts. My form did not suck.
