Who actually gets 8 hours of sleep?

We hear all the time how important sleep is for recovery, I'm not disagreeing, but who in today's society can actually get 8 hours of sleep every night. The best I can do is 6 during the construction season, (April through October), working 10-12 hour days, traing, getting everything ready the night before, 8 hours of sleep just isn't possible for me. Don't get me wrong, I would love more and try to get it when I can. How much sleep do the rest of you get?
 
i do my best but end up with about 7 during the week and 9 on the weekends.
 
I avg 9 hrs a night. Less then 7 and I'm worthless
 
I am always trying to......
in real sleep terms....about six hours, waking up every couple of hours.
 
It's just about impossible doing the kind of work you do. I know it's always a struggle for me to work 10 hours and then try to train an prepare meals.

Then for me it's a quality of sleep issue. I think if a lot of bodybuilders got tested, they would find out they had sleep Apnea. At least a mild case of it due to thickness of neck.
 
I will say that the quality of my sleep is very good. It's almost too good. I have a hard time waking up, sometimes I don't hear the alarm! The place could burn down and I'd sleep right through it unless the cat wakes me up. This may be a little off topic, but we are such a go-go-go society. The 40 hour work week is going by the wayside, people are being forced to work more along with increasing demands from other aspects of life. This leads to eating shittier food, less sleep, less time for exercise. A friend of mine in the medical community put it to me like this, we are living a longer life, but not a better quality of life
 
I work 4 on 4 off. somtimes i get as little as 4 or 5 when working as bodyclock is screwed but days off i get up to 10. To be honest in the summer i dont seem to need much sleep but in the winter i cant wake up for shit.
 
I started a 2nd job, and have cut back fro 8 to around 5.5-6, I hate it, always tired!
 
I havnt slept well for many years, December 15th 1976 was the last time i got a full 8 hours sleep...:(
 
Yeah, I need my 8.
 
Usually at least 7 or 8 throughout the week. 9-10 on the weekends. If I don't get at least 7 hours, I'm shitty the next day.
 
Only if Im lucky on a Sunday. But still not likely
 
I am in bed for 8 hrs every night..... its just too bad I am not sleeping that entire time. I struggle with insomnia badly, even without AAS.
I have gotten a solid 8 hours a couple times this year, but I'd bet I get an overall of 5-6 hours each night.
 
I get anywhere from 6 to 7 hours 99% of the time.
It feels like I haven't gotten a solid 8 hours on a regular basis since my first child was born,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,25 years ago!
 
8-9 hours a day. Don't have to get up til 8:30 for work. I generally go to bed no later then 11pm or so.
 
Weekdays I'll be lucky if I can get 5-6 hours but on weekends I make up for it and get anywhere between 8-10 hours. :)
