Who has actually brought up their calves!?

Dennis Wolf didn’t have small calves, they looked small because he was huge.
These guys calves grew over time they just didn’t grow as fast or as much as the rest of their muscles.

Put these calves on your average gym rat
This is weird because I remember his calves looking non existent. Overall this was a damn good look for Dennis. Even his back looks better than I remember.

What show was this?

I willing to bet Big Ramy has 21"+ calves. The problem is the 35" quads create.
My best friend met him in person. My buddy said he had bigger calves than ramy. They might be 21” but they look like chicken legs on the Olympia stage next to the other guys who are much shorter than him.

John meadows had a good quote….he said he trained his calves every day until the bottom of his feet hurt. Took a day or two off, then repeat.

You just have to consistently hammer them for a long time. They will grow. But it’s hard to dedicate 4ish sets to failure 4-5x a week for a year straight without saying fuck this.

You also claimed a 75 set leg workout which included 20 sets of squats maxing at 315 for 30 and finished in two hours... so yeah there is also that.

Who on the board has actually brought up their calves and what was your method?

Genetically, I have mediocre calves. Not small or overly large, nor terrible or great. However, I do want to put in an effort to see if I can turn them into something solid. I'm definitely curious to see what has worked for the guys on here who transformed their calves!
I had just okay calf development for about 15 years, 17”, and was just stuck there. Then I started doing calves the way Dante Treudel aka Doggcrapp advices and they blew up as if I’d never trained them before. For about 4 years, in my late 40’s I had calves over 19” walking around. Calves people notice.

What Dante teaches worked for me from top to bottom. But it was too hard to maintain at the age I learned it and I stopped following his techniques after several successive injuries in my early 50’s.

Search Doggcrapp workout. Nothing in my previous 30 total years of weight training did for me in such a short time as his stuff.

I got mine really big (at their biggest just under 21". Today they are 19.5") without ever training them. I used to get stopped at airports by people asking how I got them so big and so defined. Honest to god it was just tons and tons of jump rope. I got into jumping rope when I was training Muay Thai and I was doing it every single day. Some days I would do 10 minutes, other days I would do as much as 30 minutes. But I stopped working legs completely when I was doing Thai boxing and Jiu Jitsu. I wanted flexibility so I didnt train quads or calves at all. And all that jumping rope actually made my calves explode. And my legs actually started getting very defined and muscular. Now they are one of my best bodyparts and I still don't train them super heavy. They grow best with high rep stuff for me.

Try a combination of everyone's suggestions and see what makes yours respond. Give it a month of steady work and take pics. See what makes them respond a bit. Then go all in on whichever method works best.

I know 4 years ago I trained 3x a week. One of the days was body weights sets of 30 reps, 6 sets. Going to go back to this and see how it goes again.
